Not much to this device. USB 3.0 with a type-A plug on one end, ethernet jack on the other. Plug the USB end into a USB 3.0 compatible port on your computer, plug the ethernet in on the other end. Profit.

Does what it says on the side of the tin. Can’t ask for much more from a dongle. Plus usb3 is much better bet for these things

This adapter allowed me to use my LaserJet Printer with my MacBook Pro. Thanks!

got the latest driver from trendnet’s website (the one that it came with on the disk was from 2016, a 5 year old driver….). apple won’t let you install it. I completely disabled apple’s security features to allow the drivers to install, and it still didn’t work. You shouldn’t need drivers for these things anyway. It works fine with a PC, no drivers needed there, so I’m keeping one. Returning the rest that were intended for macs.

This is a replacement unit that finally died after about 8 years. Can’t beat that with a stick. This one is also faster than my old one.

I bought this item so I could connect my laptop to an ethernet connection for higher data speeds. I must say that it was extremely easy; I just plugged it into one of my USB slots and was instantly connected. No software downoad, no reconfiguration needed, just blazing speed!

Plug in and stream on a Linux system, no install issues. Data as fast as the built in ethernet port. Very useful to add additional wired connections, or for laptops that no longer have the wired port.

My laptop doesn’t have an ethernet port. This USB adapter is a great solution.
