Mounted the router to a 3/4″ thick phenolic router table – and still able to change bits from above. Easy to change heights – comes with an above table handle, and removing the plunge spring for table use is a great enhancement.I have not used it free-hand, so cannot comment on that use or the accessories that came in the package to assist circles, edges, etc.Be careful in removing the plunge spring – the spring cap is not screw on, a 1/8 turn twist releases it and the spring.Having separate collets for 1/2″ and 1/4″ is a good feature, allows better gripping of the bits and removes the challenge of keeping track of an insert. The variable speed adjustment wheel is not positioned well for viewing when mounted on a router table. Not a big deal, but when I want a specific speed range have to get on the floor to view the numbers.Very happy with the router.

Put this in a router table and I love the above table adjustment. Drilling the hole in the router plate for the above table adjustment handle was a cinch and it works great. Plenty of horsepower and relatively quiet as well (but may be due to router table). Bit changes are quick and the automatic spindle lock when mounted in a router table is an excellent feature. Can’t comment on plunge function because I have a separate router for that.

There is little to not like about this beast. Bit changes are easy and power is in spades. I used my military discount so received another 10%. HD also had the best price on this tool. Anyway I purchased the router for use in a router table and so far it is working great. I only wish the Triton router table was available.

Very nice router. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because a screw came out of a handle and the handle fell off shortly after I began using it. Found the handle but couldn’t find the screw.

This is my first router so I couldn’t tell you much. It’s very heavy and seems very sturdy. It’s made in Australia (With everything going on with them and China at the moment, I’d like to show them some support). The dual mode is pretty brilliant and it switches between each mode pretty easily, plunging requires a heavy hand though. Far as I know, replacement parts are easy to find. 3 year warranty!

Quality build Professional grade for sure, Built to last. Had dewalt routers for years but the quality for the triton really surprised me. I’m sure this will be the only router I use from now on.

Solidly built the perfect router. Well worth the price. I just wish they were sold in stores, along with all the other Triton tools.

Awesome power. Used 1 3/4″ bit to flatten board, walked thru the walnut easily.

My router was delivered missing the black parts (little knobs, or centering knobs) on the fence system. that hold the router to the #27 extended baseplate edge guide. 1/2″ collet missing. Also a part that is not on the parts list, was in the box that looks like a filing cabinet slide!

Based on reputation, I think this was an excellent deal. Haven’t actually used it yet, but based on what I have read, this is the ideal router to use in a homemade router table in that I don’t have to buy a separate router lift to insure accurate height/depth adjustments. Also, supposed to be an excellent tool all around.

I bought this router after burning out a 2.5 HP Dewalt trying to roughy miter lock joints in QSWO. This router fit very nicely under my router table. The above table height adjuster and automatic spindle lock make bit changes a breeze (no more craning my neck from under the table while I try to make fine adjustments to bit height. Smooth start feature avoids torquing on startup. 3.25 HP is excellent for running large complex bits at slow speed without faltering.
