This router is amazing! As others have posted its weight (coming in at 19 lbs) is a little much for hand held operations…namely because over the course of many years I developed a habit of using 1 hand on the router; the other to hold the wood stock. If one uses both hands this router will present no problems. In fact I built a router table, mounted the router and have no intention of ever un-mounting it. Next purchase will be a smaller router one can safely use one-handed…I’ll be looking for a Triton.Long story short…you can’t go wrong by purchasing this router.

Quality build Professional grade for sure, Built to last. Had dewalt routers for years but the quality for the triton really surprised me. I’m sure this will be the only router I use from now on.

This is a large heavy duty router best suited for a router table. If you are doing hand routing it might be best to opt for the smaller vervion.

I wish I had been able to purchase this router years ago. My Elu worked great for many years but this Triton is fantastic. Lots of power and very siple to adjust.

I was looking for a router to mount to my home made router table. I purchased a kreg no ring plate pre drilled for the triton router. It fit perfect and allows me to make adjustments from above the table top. The router is powerful and came with both 1/4 and 1/2 inch collets

I seldom use routers but I’ve owned a Porter-Cable plunge router for years and was always happy with it. Unfortunately, it turned up missing. I’ve recently bought this Triton to use as a plunge router for the meantime and plan to eventually mount it to a table. The ability to raise and lower the bits from above, as well as relatively easy bit changes, also above the table, piqued my interest. The 3.25 hp is also a strong selling point. I’ve used the plunge router once so far. The rack-n-pinion system and micro-adjuster work nicely. Using a brand new Whiteside 5/8″ dia. straight bit in treated pine is like using a hot knife in butter – even easier actually. I tried out the fence also and am impressed. the steel plates (base and fence) are substantially thick and leave me with no desire for anything thicker. The materials, power, and fit&finish are all top-notch. The only complaint some might have would be in getting template guides. Triton has a proprietary system for their template guides — not the commonly used Porter-Cable template guides that many people use on most various manufacturers’ routers. And, the dealers that I found that normally sell the Triton template guide kit, informed me that they were unavailable at the time. I found a universal base plate of 1/2″ thick acrylic from Infinity Cutting Tools that has mounting holes that work with the Triton router and the ability to fasten the Porter-Cable template guides too it. This works well for me and I have no regrets about the Triton. I’ve read many reviews on many routers and can understand why so many recommend this machine. I ordered it online and it was delivered well packaged, in perfect condition, right on time.

This router is great! It’s quiet. No vibration. In my opinion the best router available!

My main purpose is to use this router in a router table. Two things make this router attractive for this use. First is that Triton made it very easy to raise and lower it from above the table. They even include an above table crank for this purpose. No need for a special router lift. Second is how easy it is to change the bits from above the table. Just raise the router all the way up and the shaft lock will engage when the collet is above the table. One wrench and no scraped knuckles. The variable speed is a must with the larger panel bits and 3-1/4 HP really lets me hog out the wood without slowing down. I recently completed dovetails (using a router table dovetail jig) for seven drawers with perfect performance. Yesterday I cut the cope and stick for two cabinet doors and again it worked perfectly. Very easy to make precision height adjustments from above the table. Another plus is the 1/4″ collet that is also included. It is not just a 1/2″ collet with a reducer inserted in it. That should make routing with 1/4″ bits more accurate too.At first I thought I may need to remove the plastic dust shields when using the router in a table, but I have had no problems with chip clogging at all. It clears itself very well.

the Triton 3.25 hp router has many features that other routers do not have. Some of the unique features of this router is it has a built in router lift and the motor uses side air vents to help prevent dust and other foreign objects from entering the motor. Comes with the 1/4 and 1/2 inch collets.

A well thought out router that I am sure will be a joy to use.

quite impressed with many of the features of this router, most of all how well it is designed to work in a router table. I have only used it once since receiving it and can not comment beyond that. the only problem I have found is the 1/2″ Collet is sticky and had to remove a bit with pliers.

Great, powerful router so far. This is probably your best option if you’re looking to avoid a costly lift. It has some unique features not common on other makes, especially its precision adjusting plunge feature. It’s a substantial tool that looks well built, and at a price to beat the competition.

I needed a powerful router that will be permanently mounted to a router table. I need to be able to change bits easily from the top of the table, connect to the table’s built in power switch, adjust the bit height accurately from above the table, and avoid clogging the motor when removing a lot of material as in raising panels or milling moldings. This one fits the bill on all counts. The only negatives were that the opening on the router base is a little smaller than my large panel raising bits, and the Triton logo medallion was loose. Cost was surprisingly better than all comparable routers I considered.

Router has performed great! It’s well made and has more than enough features for me. It’s also heavy which I like. A heavy router is harder to jerk around and mess up your work piece ha ha.

The router was easy to learn. It runs great. The orange plastic cap that sticks on top of the spring holder will not stay on.Also the depth adjustment wobbles and is not lined up correctly with the adjustable rod that lands on it. It appears what Iread about lack of quality control for the little things was correct. This is a good product that could be a great product ifa little attention was given to the small stuff. I would send it back for a replacement but my time restraints dictate thatkeep it.

Tremendous router, I purchased this for use on a router table to make cabinet doors. The ease of changing bits and adjusting the depths of cuts was wonderful. I haven’t used the plunge aspect of this router yet but for what I needed it delivered wonderfully.
