replaced my old 9 yr old troy bilt with exact model because my old one is so dependable and starts on 1st or 2nd pull always. I am 81 yrs and able to use it easily. My old one still working but wanted to have same one in reserve in case they discontinue this model because it is so good.

Pamela Medhurst (verified owner) –
Very easy to start. Doesn’t have as much power as I thought it would.

New lawn mower starts up with just a couple of pulls the first time, but when you shut it down to dump the catcher it doesn’t restart immediately, it has to set about 5 minutes.

Easy set up and works great

The piece of metal that regulates the height of the back tires was bent. Now it constantly rubs up against the back tire. Other then that, I was pleased.
Jalen Langworth (verified owner) –

I really like my Troy-Bilt 21 159 cc Gas Walk Behind Self Propelled Lawn Mower with Check Don’t Change Oil, 3-in-1 TriAction Cutting System. It was easy to assembly and I really like it as you only have to pull the string once to start the lawn mower.

Not as good as previous Troy Bilt mower. Self propulsion feature doesn’t provide the same speed as older model. Must depress handle much further to get faster propulsion. Doesn’t seem as powerful. But does have some better features. Dipstick is easier to read. Price was good. Delivery was fast, no damage.

Doesn’t start on one pull as advertised. It takes two to three pulls. Cuts good.
Virginie Koch (verified owner) –
Very easy to use. I only wish the bag was bigger. I have to empty it often or else it leaves clippings all over the lawn.

I have had several Troy-Bilt Lawn Movers and have passed them down to family members over the years. Have found them to be reliable, rugged, and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Great mower. Had it for about 2 months so we’ll see how durable it is over time. First pull start every time. A gas tank goes a long ways. Powerful & runs well over rough terrain. I do wish the bag was a tad larger, but it works. I bought it over another brand due to customer reviews & so far, I’m glad I did.
Dusty Tremblay (verified owner) –
Dependable mower that starts easily, plenty of sucking power for leaves and debris, and a reliable cut that is level.
Duane Sanford (verified owner) –
Troy-Bilt has a great product with this mower. This is my second mower from them.
Blaise Watsica (verified owner) –
This is a really good mower at a good price. It cuts great and starts on the first pull every time. It is also relatively light weight (80 lbs) which makes it maneuverable.
Buster Lynch (verified owner) –
It’s heavier, harder to push than I thought it would be to be a stag-propelled. Still a nice mower. Very easy to start.
