I love this mower… just pull the cord and it starts. And tall, wet grass is no problem! It doesn’t clog, and afterwards just hook up the hose and it’s clean. Wasn’t sure about spending so much on a push mower, but I LOVE IT so much!

First 4×4 walk behind mower I have owned. I have had several front wheel self propelled, including Troy Built with the Honda engine. My property is steep and rough…this mower pulls itself up hills and nearly pulls me up! I rarely use anything but the rear wheel lever. Powerful and reliable. One pull crank! The bagger is excellent and the mulching is the best I have ever seen. This is a must have mower…it is worth the price for this performance and reliability!! And Home Depot price was less than straight from the manufacturer! Can’t say enough about this machine!!

Ordering and pick up were very easy. It was very easy to put the mower together from the box. I have used the mower several times and I am very pleased with it’s performance. Best lawn mower I ever owned.

I live in North Carolina in hilly country with a rough 2 acres to cut. Riding lawn mowers would be dangerous for most of my yard so it is either a weedeater or a walk behind for me. So far the 4 wheel drive excels my old 2 wheel drive with small rear wheels. The large rear wheels are perfect.

Great mower – has great power to cut thru thick and tall grass. Also the 2/4 wheel drive system works well. I was able cut a fairly steep bank in my back yard with high grass that my old mower could not climb.

so great. the bagger has a better design and can pick up more than ever.

I am always looking for a great bagger as I bag a few times a year. Mower is great. I hope it lasts at least five years for what it cost. And, without anything beyond a spark plug, oil and air filter or a blade meaning Annually. High rear wheels are great, but front wheels do very little of the work.

Love the 4 wheel drive for my terraced yard but wish the height adjust did all 4 wheels at once. The rod holding the rear lift gate was not fully inserted and door became ajar twice. The house bib for clean out does not easily thread on a hose but the cleaning feature works nicely.

A quality made product.

when coming out with a new model do not have a lever to keep pressure on for it to go forward have dial controls like you had a few years ago just select the speed and go My hands go to sleep

The motor is a beast. Goes through anything. The all wheel drive is a little disappointing. The rear wheels pull very good but the front wheel drive is weak and I cant adjust it to make it pull equal to the rear. Don”t use the catch bag so can”t comment on that. The side discharge chute is typical of modern mowers. It sucks. The height adjustment is very good. The front “bumper” is handy for knocking down tall stuff. Tires have pretty good tread pattern for grip. Mower is on the heavy side and can cause fatigue fairly quickly. Over all an above average mower. If you catch it on sale, buy one.

Outstanding mower. I wish the collection bag was bigger.

Still in the first month but so far so good. Extra traction on hill is great. Starts with one pull. Cutting is much less of a chore these days. Hope I get 5 more years out of this.

Engine is great. Definitely better than what I had. Other reviewers are right. Front wheel drive is slow but the back wheels are strong… when they stay attached. The drive grip levers feel flimsy. So the back wheel fell off on its first mow ever. Gave me quite the laugh but really Troy Built, your quality control department (if there is one) needs an iron fist. Just reading reviews, one can see it sucks! I do hope this mower holds up. It will get put though its paces and if it shows any signs it won’t keep up, I will return it. Guess we shall see.

This review is for the Troybilt mower with the Honda 190CC engine. I’ve only had it for a few weeks and only used it twice. So I cannot speak to the longevity of the mower. But what I can say is that the mower is a work horse. I like the 4WD feature for when I’m cutting the front ditch as I’m mowing at about a 30 degree slope. I am in South Louisiana where the grass needs to be cut once a week but the constant rainstorms don’t allow for that. So more often than not, the grass is overgrown (4″ to 6″) by the time I get to cut it, and the mower cuts without straining or bogging down. I find the mower performs very well.

The front wheel drive could pull stronger. Put the larger wheels on the front as well as the back! Have used the mower 3 times and is a much better mower than my old Husqvarna AWD. As long as the AWD drive transmissions hold up it is well worth the price. Mower flies over the lawn when the rear wheel drive is engaged, but crawls when only the front wheels are engaged. 1/2 acre lot with steep slopes. My brand new mower did not come with the red front bumper bar as pictured. Mfg. needs to update their picture of the mower.

I read review on this lawn mower and it is what all described.
