THERE NEEDS TO BE A SIDE BRACKET THAT BLOWS STRAIGHT AND DOWNWARDS TO MAKE THIS A 5 STAR PRODUCT

Very pleased with the power and general serviceability of this walk-behind blower. It’s working well during the fall leaf season in our sizable yard.

The Troy Built was easy to assemble.

Good power to move leaves around the woods. Wheels are average for use on woodsy terrain, but otherwise worth the investment

It starts easily and handles well. It has lots of power and will blow wet leaves.

Works well; does the job

Steering could be improved with a caster front wheel.

It does a good job on blowing the leaves into a pile. It also does a good job of clearing light dry snow.

It rained two days knocking down most of the leaves and then we got 7″ of snow. Arthritis in my hands is much worse this year so either raking or heavy blowers is out of the question. Now my light electric blower is OK, except it can’t handle wet, matted leaves. Even on dry leaves, it stalls out once the leaf pile gets large. So after reading reviews, I purchased the Troy-Bilt and am very pleased with this work saving tool. It handled those wet leaves with ease! The leaf pile got huge at the end and it handled that as well. The unit is one of the lightest at 80 pounds and since my yard has a decent slope, I would NOT want a heavier unit. Also at 80 pounds, I can easily load it into my SUV to take to my son. Now some of the more expensive units have a swivel front wheel which I suspect works well on level lawns. On a side slope like my lawn, I believe that swivel would be a problem. Finally, the 208cc engine is a well respected snow blower engine according to a mechanic at an authorized repair shop.

No assembly, easy to start, maneuver and gets the job done. Right weight for climbing moderate grades.

Does exactly what I wanted this for. With only one front wheel at times the right front lags down and causes a jolt when it grinds into the ground

Starts easily, easy to push around. Get’s the job done.

I bought this at another store but what I have to say I thought it might help others. I had this for a about three years now and I’ll say this much, it has great blowing power if you can keep it running! I bought this during the winter thinking I’d have no issues in the spring, but low and behold it would not stay running as if it got too hot, after it cooled it would run for a short time. I couldn’t return it as I was told the 30 day to return had past. I placed a call to Troy built and got no help from them. I’ve tried everything I knew to keep it running, I even paid a shop this spring to have it repair, ran good when I got it back but now with the leaves falling, I started it up, ran it for about 20 mins and it stalled out and would not start again just what it was doing before. I’m thinking it may need a new carb but I’m not paying for one when I paid good money for it in the first place! I’d use good judgement before purchasing this unit…if you have one and it runs good for you then you have a good machine but beware!

I would say it seems a little under powered. Easier than a handheld blower but took longer to finish.

Reviewed multiple sources (online sites, Consumer Reports) and chose to buy the Troy-Bilt Walk Behind Blower after seeing it still available at Home Depot. I bought it October 4, 2019. I had my reservations about the quality because of other more name brands, but more expensive models. However, this has been a great tool. Easy set-up and one pull starting. I have already put it to the test and blew wet leaves and high volume of leaves with ease. The wind speed was good and what I wanted – nice and powerful. No problems clearing a half acre in less than 2 hours, including having to manually blow and rake to the street (the blower is just too strong to blow right to the street). Total time on the Troy-Bilt was around 45 minutes of the 2 hours of work. I have been able to do the leaves and mow the lawn all in 4 hours, which in the past, the foliage would take me at least 5 – 6 hours of a hand blower and manual rake and then I would need to mow likely the next day. The only downside is the front wheel is not maneuverable. Being a little thin as well, it gets hung up in mulch or loose soil. However, that’s the only downside there has been and just tilting the blower back has taken care of that. This blower has so far exceeded my expectations.

Powerful but HEAVY! Works well, but unless you’re on smooth terrain you’ll get a workout! Much heavier to maneuver than I expected. Probably should have gone with a self-propelled.
