With a comprehensive user interface and support for fiber connectivity the EdgeSwitch 24-Port 250-Watt Managed PoE+ Gigabit Switch with SFP from Ubiquiti Networks is a full featured networking solution. Along with the two 1 Gbps SFP Ethernet ports, you can take advantage of 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting a max power over Ethernet wattage of 34.2 watts per port. The voltage ranges from 50 to 57 volts with a maximum passive power over Ethernet wattage per port of 17 watts. Other networking features include VLAN, private VLAN, voice VLAN, link aggregation, DHCP snooping, IGMP snooping, and much more.

I bought this for our fiber connected office network to handle high media transfer loads as well as power our 6 WiFi access points. Its been installed for about a month now and has performed flawlessly in that time. Its been great to not have to set up all of the independent PoE injectors and just plug the APs straight into the switch, it auto detects them and sends power with no issue. Highly recommend.

It’s been up and running for a month now and powers all 12 Unifi camera’s (old and new), a NanoStationM & a UAP-AC PRo. Setup and VLANs were a cinch. So thrilled to get ride of all those PoE adapters/emitters. Works & looks ideal with my EdgeRouter 8 & a new UNVR. I also have a EdgeSwitch 24 lite in the mix, but setup on a different network within the ER8. Very pleased with it as well.

The switch was very easy to use and setup. The price was right and the device had more features than I was expecting. Specifically, I found that it support layer 3 routing. The Ubiquiti comes with a decent GUI that makes it much easier to setup. While I am comfortable on the command line, time was of the essence so I used the GUI. Using Google I was able to find very useful documentation as well.

Using for a home solution mated to an EdgeRouter POE, and ToughSwitch. I purchased to replace an unmanaged Cisco switch that did not offer link aggregation. I have been using other Ubiquiti products since 2013, and so far has been an extremely positive experience, minus my Gen1 UniFi UAP-AC(‘s) … I was able to DHCP into the switches 192.168.1.X network pretty painless, then configured VLANs and switched all ports to but one to different VLANs/subsets then once I jumped back into the switch on the new network I was able to reconfigure that last port. Probably would have been idea to leave one port on default VLAN but I need all 24 ports. Plenty of good videos on configuring if you need them, I was able to get the hang of the GUI pretty quickly, seems stable and decently user friendly. Currently runs at 50C so that’s good … will keep an eye on temps.
