The UAP-AC-LITE-5 UniFi Access Point Enterprise Wi-Fi System from Ubiquiti Networks is a scalable enterprise access point solution designed to be easily deployed and managed. It supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard with speeds of up to 867 Mb/s in the 5 GHz radio band, and up to 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz radio band. The Wi-Fi system offers simultaneous dual band operation with 2 x 2 MIMO technology for each band. It has a range of up to 400′ and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. This UniFi Access Point (AP) has a sleek design and can be easily mounted to a ceiling tile or wall, using the included mounting hardware.
The Wi-Fi system includes UniFi Controller software that can be installed on a PC, Mac, or Linux machine within the network, and is easily accessible through a standard Web browser. Using the UniFi Controller software, an Enterprise Wi-Fi network can be quickly configured and administered, without any special training. Real-time status, automatic UAP device detection, map loading, and advanced security options are all seamlessly integrated in the system.

Say goodbye to consumer grade headaches and hello to business class quality, works fantastic!

Started out with Unifis Cloud Key Plus and their switch then realized what you could do with their software. Added this access point and the their mesh antenna. Wow this stuff is quality and affordable.

Awesome little units. Smaller in size than olds model with great range. Thanks for shipping to Australia quicker than buying locally

had this AP and LR for about 6 months. While LR was mostly OK, this one kept losing 2G signal, and after about 2 months and multiple e-mails with UBNT customer service, it was replaced with a refurbished one, which works OK, BUT there is another isssue: both APs have to be set-up and managed via a controller that has to be run from a wired computer. Even though I had the controller set up properly as per advice from the UBNT forum memebers, both APs sometimes disconnect and I lose WiFi. I then need to connect my laptop via Ethernet cable to the router, and re-set the APs (re-adopt and re-provision, in their language). Had I not invested into these two APs, I probably would look into something with more stable SW.

I evaluated this product an the -LR version) for use in a condo complex. Also compared these with an Apple time capsule. Basic setup using the IOS iPhone app was adequate (I understand that an Android app exists, but did not use it.. I also used the full web-based Java app which allows more functionality. The -LITE specs indicate that 5 Ghz max power is 20 dBm. However, my unit seemed to be limited to 17 dBm. That is a disappointment. The -LR specs are 24 dBm, which is confirmed with the free software. The 7 dBm difference makes a big difference in coverage for the 5 Ghz band based on testing I did in a 2000 sq ft 3 BR space. Buy the more expensive -LR version if you need better coverage. My Apple time capsule and the -LR access point had similar 5 Ghz coverage. The Ubiquity products seemed to have slightly better range in the 2.4 band. It is important to understand that the are access points. They are not routers. You will need a router, DCHP server, NAT, and firewall to complete your installation. This is not a stand-alone device. Bottom line. For the right situation, these access points do a nice job — at least for the relatively simple configurations that I tested. The 2.4 Ghz specs are closer (20 and 22 dBm) and that is what the software indicated. The coverage difference for 2.4 band was not significant.

Replaced a couple Unifi AP 2.4 Ghz units that were about 3 years old today with two of these UAP-AC-Lite units and speeds are greatly improved and coverage is much be better with the 5 Ghz band Have them installed at oposite ends of the house one on the second floor and other on first floor. I get full bars in the alley behind my detached garage and at the curb in the front of the house (and everwhere inbetween) Never going back to consumer grade Wi-Fi gear. Ubiquiti Access Points are rock solid and from previous experience have frequent firmware updates. Totally impeccable & reliable!

I have used Ubiquity UniFi equipment in two church network installations and they have been fantastic. The hardware is high quality, the administration is easy to use, and the price is inexpensive. The end result is a professional network at an approachable price. I especially like the AC-Lite AP, which combines several upper-end features (gigabit ethernet port, dual-band, multiple SSID, guest networks, and support for everything up to 802.11AC) into a very small and very reasonably priced package. There are some higher-end models that pack in more antennas for higher throughput, but I found these to be just right for our installations.

A good unit. It was straight forward to wire and the single unit comes with a POE injector. I’m getting 5G all over the house now. It is tricky to configure. You must download the unifi controller software from Ubiquity. Plus, be sure to set up a Ubiquity account. You’ll need it to log into the application. Configuration took a bit to figure out.

Was very easy to set up and works great second access point in house and gives great coverage.

This little product works great! It manages both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands with ease. After easily integrating with my existing infrastructure, I could quickly scan the bandwidth spectrum to see overlaps and usage. It’s automated settings work perfect in my environment and it quickly and easily adapts as other devices consume the neighboring WiFi spectrum. Best product for the price and I highly recommend.

Plugged it in, adopted it, upgraded it and it’s working fine. Seems to have about the same range as an LR version I have. Great AP.

Very nice and simple setup. The management software, however, is overly complex.

I have been having troubles with 2.5Ghz Wifi in my apartment, since all my neighbors operate on the same crowded channels; so I needed a mesh-style setup without breaking the bank! I looked at other products which all have similar features, but my decision to go with Unifi was: 1) Features included to price point; and 2) On-site controller software included with optional cloud support.

Be careful if your buying this because it does NOT include a POE injector like the single packs do, but otherwise this is a great product for either large residential use or commercial.

Very easy clean setup with this UAP. I wanted to relocate my wireless access point (wireless router) from it’s poor location so I was able to cleanly install this on top of my entertainment center with only a single CAT5E cable. Works like a charm. SETUP The product was very simple to setup. I ended up at first just using the iOS app to set it up which allow for you to get it up and running quickly. I then later installed the controller software on my iMac (after deciding my raspberry pi wasn’t a good idea). The software is much more robust in terms of what it can do. Here you can RF scan, and check your site out. The controller software isnt required to run all the time so this is a good option to see what it can do. Only certain features will require it to be running all the time. Overall I’m very happy and am planning on purchasing a Ubiquiti Edge ER-X router in the near future and possibly even a Unifi Cloud Key, although, for a residential unit, it’s not really needed.

Ubiquiti Access Points are the best to use. Meant for business but can be used to home. Excellent for prosumers, Great bank for buck. If you need more bandwidth, check the Pro and HD.

I installed this in the living room (wall mount) in a two story residence and wifi coverage throughout the house in now excellent so I highly recommend this access point.

Love these access points. They work extremely well. Havent had any issues with them. Just deployed about 70 of them in a hotel. As of 2/4/19 I did receive the 802.3af compatible version.

I bought two of these to cover my two story house, replacing Netgear and Apple access points. These are providing better coverage and are working great. They are also less obvious. I like that I can steer clients to the 5GHz range. The tracking of other access points in the area is interesting. Setup was harder than basic consumer router/APs, but not that hard. The hardest thing was I installed the manager on a PC, and had a bit of a time moving the APs to a manager on a server at home, so when you set these up set up the manager where you want it to stay, as the manger also is the monitoring station and collects information from the APs, unlike consumer APs that do everything internally. Note that the APs are powered by Power over Ethernet. A stand along power over Ethernet supply is included, but you need 2 Ethernet cables per AP to use it. Ethernet cables are not included.

Nice, small footprint WAP. PoE and easy install overall.
