The UAP-AC-LR-US 802.11ac Long Range Access Point from Ubiquiti Networks is ideal for long‑range deployments. This access point offers simultaneous, dual band operation with 3 x 3 MIMO in the 2.4 GHz band and 2 x 2 MIMO in the 5 GHz band. The innovative antenna design provides a long range, symmetrical link coverage area. The antenna gain of this access point performs better than what one way, high transmit power does for connecting distant clients.

There’s a learning curve, but it’s worth it.

Ubiquiti’s UniFi wireless access points out perform any similar device I’ve ever used; and I’ve used a lot of them. Our installation was in a 90+ year old 3 story building built like a concrete bunker with concrete ceilings and walls throughout. The UniFi access points provided us superior signal penetration throughout the building. Central management through UniFi’s controler console made configuration of the devices a snap. Thank you Ubiquiti, and thank you B&H for your easy ordering and prompt delivery. We’re already planning the next expansion phase of our wireless network.

Provides a much better wireless net than ‘consumer’ wireless routers. I’ve been very impressed with making the switch and the strong signals throughout my house. My Chromecasts haven’t had any buffering issues since.

The recession I’m getting with this access point is no better than what I get from my Netgear router. I will be returning it

Product is first rate, my lack of knowledge was the only stumbling block. With a little research and reading the AP is up and running. Unifi controller is great also. I use this with an edgerouter lite, and a 24 port switch and everything works well together. I’m glad I purchased Ubiquiti products from B&H.

Great Product !! Excellent range and easy to set up.

It took me 20 minutes to setup. I have not touched it since then for weeks so far. It has excellent browser based monitoring and debugging capabilities. It just works perfectly. First access point that shows the coverage map if you upload a plan (or quick sketch) of your home/office and set the scale of your map. Excellent buying experience B&H as well; item got delivered on time as described.

This thing, let me ride it in the Kentucky derby. Whilst i finished last, it was a dream, seamlessly running with the prized horses, galloping mightily until…it saw.. Rosey ODonnel and refused to run. now i lay here, in my own flith as the unifi took everything i had, and made me destitute.

Read a lot about these and have friends who own them. I went in with high expectations and was not let down. Great range and performance. Very happy

The Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LR is a very good access point, and well worth the cost. It is a little more complicated to install and use, since it relies on Ubiquitis network device management software UniFi, but since we use Ubiquiti devices in our business, this was not a problem for us. We soon hope to begin fooling around with a mesh network, and hope to include our UAP-AC-LRs as well. So far, we have never had a Ubiquiti device fail, and their range performance and throughput is uniformly exceptional. They provide a really good bang for your buck.

I’ve been using BHP on and off for 10 years. When ever they have the product I need at a good price. The AC LR’s are very powerful. Might be more then I needed, and I like that.

I love the ease of use, coverage and reliability of this WAP. If I had the need for another I definitely will buy another of these to expand my coverage.

We are only a month in but I am really liking this way of doing our home wireless internet! 5 access points through the house are giving us great coverage. The other cool part is that with the software our guy installed we have a home network, a guest network and can build out more for other uses like a security camera system, one just for the kids devices (that we can then control the hours the network is on) and all kinds of other great features and reports. Not normal to do this for a house but I would recommend it… and these… to about anyone at this point!

Nice unit. Works very well. I’m glad I had you tube to help set it up though.

This is a great device for extending your service into those hard to reach areas. Mount on the ceiling or hide in the attic for the perfect discreet home coverage AP. Use with the stand-alone configuration or pair with a cloud controller for enhanced access.

For some reason I expected this device to be a little larger. So far it’s really done it’s job. Great range and an improvement from my Asus RT-N66U running Merlin. I still don’t have great signal out in the yard and have been tempted to add a AC Mesh. The ability to add a variety of different devices is really what drew me to the Unifi ecosystem. Only reason I knocked off one star is I can’t get it mounted to the bracket with the bracket on the wall. It rotates and clicks in when I’m holding it in my hand, but once the bracket is mounted it won’t rotate. Something is blocking that, but a little more clearance between the bracket and device would solve the issue.

Works great, is easy to set up if you’re familiar with Unifi and Edgemax. The range isn’t as far reaching as I expected out of this given the Long Range title it has, I’m not sure that its that much further than the Pro or Lite versions that I’ve installed elsewhere. That said it has the typical excellent Unifi reliability.

Using this product for wifi coverage in a 2400 sq foot house. Have it located on the second floor and have outstanding signal strength and speed throughout the home and across the property. Would buy again!

I installed this to improve backyard access and to support a few wireless cameras. Easy setup and seems to work well. Its installed indoors and 2.4 GHz can reach a decent client 200 feet into the back yard through one wall with some margin.
