The UAP-AC-LR-US 802.11ac Long Range Access Point from Ubiquiti Networks is ideal for long‑range deployments. This access point offers simultaneous, dual band operation with 3 x 3 MIMO in the 2.4 GHz band and 2 x 2 MIMO in the 5 GHz band. The innovative antenna design provides a long range, symmetrical link coverage area. The antenna gain of this access point performs better than what one way, high transmit power does for connecting distant clients.

I setup 2 of these in a larger house. There is one in the front corner of the house and another one in the back corner. The second unit is setup as an Island AP (wireless uplink to the wired AP). I am then able to walk almost 400 feet from that AP and still get outstanding ping times and great speed test results. The whole property is covered and is about 4 acres! Please note that the 2.4GHz is for the longer range. The 5GHz does not go nearly as far. Also you must use their 24volt power injectors as they are not standard PoE (they are included).

Great product seamless functionality

We have a room under our garage and wifi has been horrible in there. I figured I would try one Unifiy LR before buying another one and this one device increased the signal to full bars.

Very disappointed when my first shopping was dead on arrival

This is the second AP I have from Ubiquity. Powerful signal and fast connection to network. Would buy again

we have a 70,000 square foot warehouse and were experiencing dead spots since some of the devices that we need to run our operations are connected wireless. Using the Unifi AP’s solve the dead spots and we can also manage the use of authorized devices on our guest network.

It’s a great product, I dare to say the best value at the UniFi line. Using at a home environment and it’s a total overkill. Also have the nanohd and pro, but would say that this only justifies at enterprises. It became great when it receives the active poe.

This AP worked exactly as well as I expected it to. Replace an Asus U66N with upgraded cameras. Coverage is similar but stability and bandwidth are much improved with the new system. I had a problem powering it with my current PoE hub so beware. Cameras are all ok to power but this AP did not work. Anyhow I already ran out of ports on my hub so I just ordered a new Unify 24p switch after having such a great experience with their other products.

After replacing my wifi router with this AP the speed of the internet went up significantly. I was amazed.

This (along with other ubiquiti products I’ve used) is amazing. There’s one drawback I’ll mention in a moment, but it’s the most reliable AP I’ve used and continually has the highest data transfer speeds, best range (long range models or not), and least downtime of any wireless AP I’ve used. It’s easily the most easy system to use if you plan to add more wireless AP’s regularly. The quality and features of this are on par with most (and exceed some) other commercial/enterprise grade comparable products that are 2-10 times more expensive. The only drawback is it has a unique management feature that is unlike all others. It’s not the end of the world, but it is different enough it can be annoying for some users who just want to plug it in and use a browser to set it up real quick and move on. If you don’t mind getting their management utility, it’s hands down my favorite AP out there. Also, their support guys are the best. Worked with them a couple times on an old product when it was first released and with beta software.

In an unobtrusive package, the long range AP has really great performance. It truly takes only a couple of minutes to set up using a new configuration tool. The more advanced settings are still available as they were before, but it is very simple to just get it up and running. Using POE makes installation a breeze – it really simplifies wiring.
