Streamline your small to medium business network with the UniFi Dream Machine Pro. The enterprise-class network device integrates a security gateway, 10G SFP+ WAN, an eight-port Gigabit switch, and 2.5″ / 3.5″ hard drive support into a single 1U rack appliance for UniFi Controllers. Powered by a 1.7 GHz ARM Cortex-A57 Quad-Core processor, 4GB of memory, and 16GB of onboard eMMC flash storage, the security gateway offers an intrusion detection and protection system with a 3.5 Gb/s max throughput rate. The eight-port RJ45 managed switch has a 10 Gb/s SFP+ LAN port available for network expansion and supports advanced Layer 2 features. A 1.3″ touchscreen displays the device’s status for easy monitoring and troubleshooting. Additionally, the integrated UniFi Protect controller automatically detects attached security cameras, and you can access up to 20 live camera feeds, network statistics, and more from a centralized interface. Video surveillance recordings may be stored onto an off-the-shelf 2.5″ or 3.5″ hard drive that you install into the built-in bay.

Setup was easy and migrating from a standalone controller was a seamless experience. My Dream Machine Pro has been up and running for a month now without any major issues. I did experience a QC issue though: the latch that holds the door of the HDD bay door closed was non-functional on arrival, causing the door of the drive bay to hang open. I didn’t bother with an RMA due to needing this running ASAP, and it doesn’t affect the usability of the product, but it was still annoying and could’ve been easily caught in QC. Aside from that, I’m very happy with the Dream Machine Pro. It’s a major improvment up from the USG it replaced in every way, and so far has been very reliable.

Having installed quite a few of these now… I’ve found it a great value for the money: it’s about the same cost as a Cloud Key Gen2+ + a Unifi Security Gateway, but with more features, and a lot more throughput with all of the ‘security features’ turned on vs. the older USG. It has become my standard for building up a Unifi network stack.

I wish this had been available when ii first installed my network. I handles a high volume of traffic with deep packet inspection and a host of security features. It does; routing, camera recording, voice over IP and controls access to doors. All in one easy to manage box.

1x 10G SFP+ LAN 1x 10G SFP+ WAN 8x 1G RJ45 LAN Does everything you need. And it does it beautifully. Included a picture with the Augmented Reality feature for finding which ports are connected to child devices. Literally a Dream Machine.

I have been using Ubiquiti equipment for about a year now. I have been pretty happy with their stuff. I recently upgraded to the dream machine and have been just as happy with this unit as I was with my USG pro. So far so good. Also, it was nice to get my cloud key off the rack being the UDM pro has it built in.

Have had no problems with this unit as my router. Running 4 cameras, doorbell, and two access points with a 4tb hard drive. Easy to setup if you have a little networking knowledge.

if you don’t know much about routers, this is a great product. If you are looking for an advanced router, this is not for you. the web interface is great, if you have ubiquity equipment, but is not so good if you use other equipment (access points, cameras, etc). I have used many routers from cisco, HP and netgear. Those routers are harder to use for a beginner, but provide functionality you cant get with this router, and you will be frustrated with the simplistic interface. There is very little diagnostics (almost none) and no documentation, however the web is mostly self explanatory. Pros: I am impressed with the speed of the routing IP region blocking (you have to go to the old interface, difficult to find) statistics on the main page camera recording (not found on any other routers I have used, but requires ubiquiti equipment that is unavailable) Cons: you can’t find the products you need. Cameras have been on backordered for over a year. basic capabilities for advanced users are non-existent or so hard to use they are worthless. call home – just bad… I blocked access from/to ui.com to kill it. Although cloud access sounds good, it is just low hanging fruit for hackers. Overall it is just OK. It appears that it has an SSH command line, but I generally don’t use that type of interface. I would give it more stars if they provided a more advanced interface that actually works and remove the call home stuff. I could not even create a dual homed network without assigning a vlan, but I don’t want that.
