The fully manageable US-8-60W UniFi 8-Port Gigabit PoE Compliant Managed Switch from Ubiquiti Networks features 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a small form factor offering improved performance and intelligent switching capabilities for expanding networks. In addition to the 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports, this switch offers 8 Gbps non-blocking throughput, a 16 Gbps switching capacity, and a 11.9 mpps forwarding rate. It also delivers up to 15.4W of power per PoE port.
Once installed, this UniFi switch can be managed using Ubiquiti’s own UniFi Controller software giving network administrators the ability to manage multiple sites from a single interface. Network admins have full access to various Ubiquiti devices within the network with the ability to change operating modes, monitor the status of each device, manage spanning tree configuration, and much more.

This switch is the last link of a daisy chained network. This gives us connections for our networked cameras for streaming our Church services and a few security cameras. Only 1 POE is used, and the switch stays warm but not hot. Very happy!!

good switch for home use especially if running multiple unifi devices because all devices can be controlled from one controller. Poe is only 48v so if someone is running old unifi AP witch ware 24v this will not power it, and only 4 ports are Poe. For enterprise use this switch locks lots of advance features but for home use this switch is great easy to setup ports can be renamed so its easy to know what is on what port and it is manage from controller.

It’s just a simple network switch, I’m sure it’s as good as anything else out there but if you are running a full ubiquity network it communicates with the host computer and the security gateway seamlessly.

This has been an excellent switch, and easily managed via the UniFi controller. The auto-sensing 802.3af ports (4 of them) are currently powering two access points and one Ubiquiti USW flex mini switch (USW-Flex-Mini), which is an awesome little 5 port switch in its own right. I’m able to set up separate port VLANS and other fun stuff on it. It’s also a well built metal switch. It does get fairly hot, but not excessively, so you won’t want to put it in a small, confined space without some air movement.
