The fully manageable US-8-60W UniFi 8-Port Gigabit PoE Compliant Managed Switch from Ubiquiti Networks features 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a small form factor offering improved performance and intelligent switching capabilities for expanding networks. In addition to the 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports, this switch offers 8 Gbps non-blocking throughput, a 16 Gbps switching capacity, and a 11.9 mpps forwarding rate. It also delivers up to 15.4W of power per PoE port.
Once installed, this UniFi switch can be managed using Ubiquiti’s own UniFi Controller software giving network administrators the ability to manage multiple sites from a single interface. Network admins have full access to various Ubiquiti devices within the network with the ability to change operating modes, monitor the status of each device, manage spanning tree configuration, and much more.

I have an Ubiquiti Dream machine and needed to add two access points. I chose this switch not only for its management capabilities but also POE. Granted this is for a home setup so the price point and operating specs are perfect. It does everything I need and then some including being controlled centrally. Perfect.

Got rid of 3 POE injectors to my 3 AP-AC-Pro units. Able to create VLANs for my security cameras. Easy integration to unifi echo system. No noisy fans. Great small device for a great home setup.

Purchased this along with a 3-pack of the NanoHD access points. Works great. If have could have changed something about it, I would have added a few more, non-powered ports for wired locations; for my installation, I added an additionall 5 port switch to cover wired locations. Works well with the UniFi software allowing management, diagnostics and provides performance information.

Unboxed plugged it into the Unifi GW and voila – 4 ports of PoE and per port tracking of devices in the Unifi controller.

The number of uses for this little switch are pretty amazing. Great for little offices and runs the Unifi NanoHD or VOIP phone with no problem. It’s nice having data in the controller without a big huge switch. Be-aware that it will not handle 24v POE…only full 802.3af POE (it will not run UAP-AC-Lite or NanoBEAMS, etc.).

Ubiquiti prducts are awesome. I am a home user and found their Unifi ecosystem to be so slick and easy to set up with just a little bit of effort. I have this switch and 2 others. I also have 2 of their APs and have ordered a third. If you need help setting up wireless network I would suggest you look up on Youtube the channel “Crosstalk” Solutions. He makes great videos that are done step by step and are very clear. This one shows a complete basic network install and configuration for Ubiquiti products.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcfIpTso_Ys&t=2s

Excellent little switch and works great! The Ubiquiti management software really make this product shine. Pros: Small footprint, Managed Switch, POE comes in handy. Cons: The Ubiquiti US8-150W supports PoE+ on all 8 ports utilizing IEEE 802.3af/at (Pins 1, 2+; 3, 6-) where as the US8-60W only supports (4) Ports 5, 6, 7, 8; with IEEE 802.3af (No POE+) While you can save the $$$ buying the Ubiquiti US8-60W be careful that the devices you need to power are going to work with this. If your not sure, just spend the extra $$$ and get the US8-150W and not worry about the potential compatibility issues. In the end, both devices work great and I recommend this product.

I am using this small switch as my desk switch that has a laptop, PC connected using GB Ethernet cards. Also it is powering a Yealink and Polycomm phones. Then I have US-8 up-linked to a Ubnt switch 16 150w. The switch has been stable since I been using it. Had no issues with adding it to the Ubiquiti controller. The only thing I noticed it does get warm therefore I attached the switch about quarter inch from the wall to let airflow get behind the device. I think this is normal as I had a Netgear that ran as hot or even hotter. I would buy this product again and do recommend it. Ubnt does sell the same model with out the ability to power devices.

This is the first switch that comes when you buy ptz camera (birddog p200), suggested by B&H. it’s very misleading for them to put this on that list when they know that is what people first put in the cart. It cost me another $9+ just to return it. Yes, the return is not free. bad… bad… bad

We have an all Ubiquiti network, so adding this switch was plug and play. Just adopt the new device and we were up and running.

This product worked great for us! Highly recommend

This was the last unifi device I installed on my network. It literally was plug and play. So easy and speeds are great.

As simple as plug and play. Worked without any issues

Switch works as expected and powers a PTZ camera.

Worked great for the first year. Then stopped working with configuration changes, would only route two configured VLANs.

This network switch works really well and was easy to setup. It is part of a larger network of Unifi products which I am installing. Having a Cloud Key Gen 2 as part of the setup was crucial in the set up of this switch. It has high throughput and has been reliable thus far.

These things have been awesome. I have 5 in the field and they’ve been solid. I wish they could output 24v passive, but for the price I love these things!
