Some of these reviews leave me shaking my head! Yes, the frame is rubber. It SAYS so in the description. The rubber gives is a cool, modern look. Having said that, you really not even tell from one foot away: must touch it to know. While the rubber frame *can* come off coming out of the box with just an ounce of care (and I mean almost none) there is no problem. It is 100% secure on the mirror when hung. A great shape if you want a non-rectangle: a modified oval (almost a rounded out rectangle). One reviewer said “nothing special.” If you are looking for ornate or an unusual shape then keep looking. That’s not what this is meant to be! Love the mirror. Used it in a high-end modern/transitional project. -Interior Designer.

It was gorgeous! I did have to return it due to the light fixture, the I initially chose would have been perfect with the mirror but because of the way the contractor or whoever wired this house made a mess, I had to go with a different light. This is a beautiful mirror, and if you buy it you won’t be disappointed!
