These accessories let you work with 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch square drive sockets using 3/8 inch handles. The maximum recommended torque for adapters with 3/8 inch female drive and 1/4 inch male drive is 450 in-lbs. The maximum recommended torque for adapters with 3/8 inch female drive and 1/2 inch male drive is 2000 in-lbs. For FOD (Foreign Object Debris) applications, the use of sockets with a blue finish is recommended so that no coating will flake off.

Make sure you read the label carefully. 3/8” female to 1/2” male, so you’re increasing in size. I have no complaints about this item, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do: be a size adapter.

Very strong for a good price. I put a lot of stress on this adapter that included a 2 ft cheater bar for torque and the adapter held up. I had other 3/8 in drive adapters split with less torque.
