These accessories let you work with 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch square drive sockets using 3/8 inch handles. The maximum recommended torque for adapters with 3/8 inch female drive and 1/4 inch male drive is 450 in-lbs. The maximum recommended torque for adapters with 3/8 inch female drive and 1/2 inch male drive is 2000 in-lbs. For FOD (Foreign Object Debris) applications, the use of sockets with a blue finish is recommended so that no coating will flake off.

This adapter has been holding up very well, but I expected that. I have been using Urrea wrenches, sockets since the mid 1990’s and I can attest to their quality, fit and finish. Basically Urrea is the old Proto Tools of Mexico, so the the quality is very good. I have some old Proto tools and basically it’s a match as to quality, durability and now the finish is much better. Excellent tools!
