- Fabricated using high-quality micro-alloyed steel, hot or cold forged depending on their size
- Precision machined and heat treated to provide the best combination of hardness, tensile strength and torque strength
- All URREA sockets and accessories have a tough nickel-chromium finish for corrosion resistance. For FOD (Foreign Object Debris) applications, the use of sockets with a blue finish is recommended so that no coating will flake off
- Compliant with American and European domestic and international standards

I ordered this Urrea 3/8-drive 12″-long extension with a number of other Urrea extensions to replace a number of similar items that had been lost or stolen over the years. The items I ordered arrived at my local Home Depot three days earlier than expected. I had never handled Urrea tools before, and my first impressions of the Urrea extensions were favorable- the chrome appears to be of good quality, the spring-loaded balls are sufficiently strong so that none of my heavy sockets will fall off nor so strong that I have to struggle to remove them, and the extensions were all perfectly straight. Interestingly, despite being roll-marked ‘Mexico,’ each extension had a sticker stating, “Made in Taiwan.’ Admittedly I haven’t used the 12” much but the other Urrea extensions from this order have held up well and despite daily use don’t show any more or less wear than more prestigious brands. For the reasonable price I paid for these tools, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more Urrea items in case I need to lend them out to co-workers or apprentices.

The extension works great and fits snug in my 3/8″ socket wrench. Good quality part, wouldn’t reccommend for a professional but it definitely gets the job done. It seemed sturdy enough, I had it rubbing against a metal component while turning it and it didn’t scrape or scratch.I used it to change a hard to reach spark plug in my 4.0L I6 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it was a lot easier to buy this extension than to remove components to reach it.
