The 1/2” socket line, like the 3/8” line, is used primarily for automotive maintenance and general mechanical work. They can withstand higher torques and more work space is needed to use them, but they have broader application ranges. Socket hex sizes: 1/4” to 1-716” and 8-36mm. Torque applications for sockets, handles, and accessories: 1,100-5,000 in-lbs.
- Fabricated using high-quality micro-alloyed steel, hot or cold forged depending on their size
- Precision machined and heat treated to provide the best combination of hardness, tensile strength and torque strength
- All URREA sockets and accessories have a tough nickel-chromium finish for corrosion resistance. For FOD (Foreign Object Debris) applications, the use of sockets with a blue finish is recommended so that no coating will flake off
- Compliant with American and European domestic and international standards

Good solid sockets at a fair price. Don’t be in a hurry for them.

Tried numerous sockets to remove bottom heating element from water heater. None would hold.Ordered and used this with a battery operated impact wrench. still wouldn’t budge.Used this socket with a 1/2 in wrench and 2′ breaker bar to finally remove old element. The 6 point ratchet was the key!!!

Read a bunch of reviews and hunted before buying this and it really was the right one with a 2 foot breaker bar added however I was with a half dead hot water heater for two weeks waiting on this to show up. You really need to speed delivery up but if you can wait it’s worth it. 5 star tool.
