This is a solid little device, and it’s pretty fast. It is faster than my previous Kingston, but not quite as solid seeming.

I use the Store ‘n’ Go to shuttle data between the PC and other media devices such as HDTV and BluRay players. I attempted to transfer an 8GB file and was met with a device full error message. I didn’t even consider the file system as the cause. A quick search on the Verbatim site revealed that FAT is no good for files larger than 4GB, so I followed the procedure to format the drive with NTFS. After this, I was able to copy my 8GB file with no issues. I did however expect better performance from a USB 3.0 device. The transfer was rather slow.

Verbatim is always a good quality product, unfortunately we put tags on our thumb drives and with the slide action it prevents the drive to close once a tag is attached.

Love it!

Plug it into a USB3 port and wait at least 10+ seconds for this drive to be recognized. Its the same for both my MAC and laptop. This is so much slower than any other flash drive (even USB 2) that I own. Most other drives are recognized within 2-3 seconds.
