Verbatim BD-R Blu-ray 25GB 16x White Inkjet Hub Printable Discs are single-sided, single-layer, write-once Blu-ray recordable discs. They enable recording and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. A single-layer disc can hold 25GB, which can be used to record over two hours of HDTV.
It uses a blue-violet laser to read and write data while current optical disc technologies such as DVD use a red laser. The shorter wavelengths of the Blu-ray technology make it possible to record more data on the same space. These discs are safeguarded with a superhard coating, which protects against everyday wear and tear.

I had been printing DVD labels using Verbatim matte finish discs with OK results. But, I needed labels that matched those on commercially produced DVDs, The matte finish printing surface simple won’t produce vivid colors.I use an Epson R2880 printer with the Labeling Software supplied by Epson. The label printed images on these glossy disc surfaces met my high expectations for discs that are more than $2 each. But the write to Blu-Ray and the subsequent label printing worked perfectly producing a client pleasing product that is consistent with the content of the Blu-Ray disc. Even at $. each, the impressive results are well worth the impact the label has on the client.

I have used a fair few of these discs now and I have had no problems whatsoever burning anything to a disc. I burn primarily video files to watch on my PS3 and I haven’t had any issue with playback either.

Good disks, burned about 30 disks with no problems so far. I print directly on the disks with a Primera Bravo 4100 inkjet disk printer. Works every time.

When you burn blu-ray disks do not skimp on quality. The Verbatim disks are one of the best you can get. Make sure though you get the HTL disks.

I had success with Verbatim printable DVD discs, so I took a chance with these printable Blu-Ray discs, and they work great! I use them with my Microboards Pro Blu-Ray duplicator tower that I bought from B&H, and I’m extremely happy!

Based on other reviews, I have exclusively bought these disks for burning. There is a failure rate (that is, disks that don’t burn right) but it is less than 5%, and probably in the 2% range. Plus, I have never had a complaint from anybody that the disks won’t play for them. And they are not much more expensive than the budget disks. And the hub printing always turns out perfect.

Works well in a high speed computer with fast BD drive. Also worked well on stand-alone BD recorder.

Verbatim is known by people who know about these things as the best blank media one can buy. In years of use I have never had a problem with Verbatim discs that wasn’t of my own making. B&H have a range of options for blank media and they are great to deal with.

Bought the 50 pack BD-R Microboards and they would NOT work with my LG burner. Never had any issues with Verbs so save yourself the hassle and buy these for a few extra pesos. Who knows, your burner may not be compatible either so why take a chance. Microboards will NOT take returns due to incompatability because I tried. Thanks BH!
