Description
Verbatim BD-R Blu-ray 25GB 16x White Inkjet Hub Printable Discs are single-sided, single-layer, write-once Blu-ray recordable discs. They enable recording and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. A single-layer disc can hold 25GB, which can be used to record over two hours of HDTV.
It uses a blue-violet laser to read and write data while current optical disc technologies such as DVD use a red laser. The shorter wavelengths of the Blu-ray technology make it possible to record more data on the same space. These discs are safeguarded with a superhard coating, which protects against everyday wear and tear.

No coasters. I’ve had trouble with various brands of DVD-R discs in the past, but I have never had a coaster since I stared using Verbatim discs. Now, with BD-R discs, I began with Verbatim discs and I have had no trouble at all. Highly recommended.

The product is fine and the price is right, but be careful when buying because a similar product has a hard shiny finish and is thermal printable only. The packaging is identical and the price is similar.

I ordered these for the first time. Never again. Bad copies showed up about a third of the time. That’s horrible. Haven’t used enough of the BD-Rs so far, but the DL DVDs were so disappointing.

My finished product(s) shine using an ink-jet printer on these BluRay discs. When placed in a wide-variety of BluRay players, the edited images and audio amaze. Never had a single coaster. I do a lot of free work for seniors, enabling them to pass on their life stories to their children and their children. So it is important that the discs last through the years. Watch the following in HD (if you can) and you will understand the importance I place on using the best of the best BD-R Discs I can find on the market. @

I have used these DVDs for years — several thousand/year, mostly for dance recital videos. I typically buy from another supplier, not B&H. The DVDs are excellent (5 stars) and I have no problems with them. However, when B&H packages them, they only include 1-2 large bubbles in the box and the protective DVD case is often damaged in shipment.
