Verbatim BD-R Blu-ray 25GB 16x White Inkjet Hub Printable Discs are single-sided, single-layer, write-once Blu-ray recordable discs. They enable recording and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. A single-layer disc can hold 25GB, which can be used to record over two hours of HDTV.
It uses a blue-violet laser to read and write data while current optical disc technologies such as DVD use a red laser. The shorter wavelengths of the Blu-ray technology make it possible to record more data on the same space. These discs are safeguarded with a superhard coating, which protects against everyday wear and tear.

I use these BD-R discs in my Microboards disc duplicator, using a master disc to make the BD-R copies for distribution. The discs have never given me any trouble, either in terms of accepting the video and audio or in terms of producing a very good quality image on the disc. Happy to recommend them.

Verbatim makes great quality DVDs and these Blu-Ray discs are no exception. I used these discs to make Bly-Ray discs of a high-definition documentary I shot and the quality of video was superb. Plus, Verbatim stopped printing their brand name on the center of the discs which allows you to print artwork around the entire disc face. This makes for a better presentation. Smart move by them. Highly recommended for professional and personal use.

I love Verbatim, always have, so when I got my new blu-ray burner I knew these were the discs I wanted and I was NOT dissapointed! Super reliable and the convenience of being able to create my own labels is a huge plus. Will buy these again and again!

I am in the video production business and I use nothing but Verbatim blank media. Burning is never a problem nor is printing directly on the DVD.

These discuss work well with the ASUS SBW-06D2X-U External 6x Blu-ray Writer. No bad writes so far. Speed about as expected. Printing with the Canon Pro 100 works perfectly. No alignment issues and the color is fine; the discs are dry right after printing.

I have had good luck with Verbatim BD-R disks, and I use the printably factor quite a lot. I’ve been sending a short film to festivals, and the image looks great.

I have never had a Verbatim disc that was defective. Once I thought I did, but when I phoned them they asked me for the number on the hub and sent me another in the mail. In hindsight I now believe it was the burner going out and not the disc itself, as it soon did die after that. This attention to quality and customer service I intend to reward to the max by never straying, especially not just to beat their price by a few bucks. 🙂

I operate a small business transferring film and tape to DVD. A recent customer brought me a very large order of VHS, VHS-C, and 8mm tapes for transfer. In order to reduce the number of discs required, I decided to use Blu-ray discs instead of DVDs to reduce the number of discs needed. I chose the Verbatim BD-R discs with the inkjet printable surface, and have been very pleased. The discs worked perfectly, and the price was very reasonable. The Blu-rays I burned were not in HD because the source material was SD video. I highly recommend these discs.

It take me a lot of time for me to create these Blu-Rays. I have been using these disks for a while & have not had any problems. B & H has great prices on these disks.

The difference between M-Discs and other DVD/BD discs is the way information is written on the disc. It is etched in a stone-like material that will withstand extreme temperature and light spectrum variations without fading or deteriorating. Other BD/DVDs use an organic dye-based surface to store data which is very susceptible to fading and deterioration when subjected to light and temperature and humidity variations. The life span of regular BD/DVDs is months to a few years. The life expectancy of a M-Disc is rated at 1000 years. I use them to provide ARCHIVE DVDs of my materials as well as the customers for whom I transfer slides and movies.

The reason I gave 4 stars is only because it does not have GLOSSY FACE. For blank disc, I am looking for these 3 characteristics: DVD-R type (DVD+R does not play on some players), GLOSSY FACE and HUB PRINTABLE.. I hope Verbatim or JVC or Taiyo Yuden read this comment to make them. Price is not an issue for us, so why not produce them???
