Really liked it at first. Didn’t buy it for heavy usage, and it has in fact been used rarely. It never saw abuse or extreme temperatures, other than its own heating up during use (fairly hot, actually). Now, 2 years later, I’m unable to transfer large/multiple files or run video from it without it ejecting itself, causing messages like Item Not Found or USB device not recognized. Even when it’s working, a successful copy to a new folder on a computer will show no files until manually refreshed. It tends to jam things up. Already ran a virus scan and reformatted, and have been using on fairly new computer, USB 3.0 (tried every port).

I use these mainly when I want to make bootable USBs for various flavors of Linux, but also for sharing files when internet transfer is not practical (it is true! Sometimes “the cloud” is impractical!) I have not noticed any slowdown in data transfer relative to other USB 2.0 drives. I keep them on a keychain-or rather, several keychains, as I can never seem to have enough of these small-capacity, compact drives. I wish the 16GB size were not special order. It is getting harder to find small USB keys, and it seems a waste of admittedly cheap space to use half to an eighth of a thumb drive that will only be used to boot from a modest-sized OS. Of course, instant gratification/shipping is not always absolutely necessary. I mean, theoretically. I suppose.

Very small and lightweight. Looks great in gold! No issues reading or loading. I use it to back up my work every hour. Works great. You may want to attach something to it to make it a bit larger. In my pocket I sometimes lose it among other things. I now have a small case I place it in–that works. When installed on my laptop you hardly notice it because of its size and it fits tightly. Both of these help in case it is bumped. It will not slip out partially and become disconnected.

It is on my key chain and keeps my vehicle records handy. Especially insurance card. I always in past had to scramble when I needed a copy. Now it is with me always. Great product. Compact and sturdy

I have used only one of these drives and it works great. The only negative side would be the physical size of it. I would prefer it to be a little larger

Use these on modern Macs. They… are… slow… for… usb 3.0… … usually think of Verbatim as a premium brand, but once in a while they disappoint.

Great speed writing and reading. If your computer has USB3 capability, you will benefit by USB3 drives.

Buy this memory that says USB 3.0 and sent me a USB 2.0, this is the first time that happens to me in bhphoto
