   Probably got a lemon, as Verbatim only makes top of the line products, but mine failed to be recognized by the computer in only 4 months. Also, the internal stop that keeps the socket exposed for insertion into the computer, was not strong enough and in my new Dell laptop you would have to hold the grey plastic middle part, to insure it did not retract as you inserted it into the USB drive.
