Keep crucial equipment up and running in the event of a surge with the Liebert PSA5-500MT120 UPS from VERTIV. Designed for use with computers, gaming consoles, workstations, monitors, routers, surveillance systems, and other important electronics, this uninterruptible power supply boasts an output of 500 VA or 300W. Ten NEMA 5-15R outlets provide 316 Joules of surge protection for connected equipment. Five of the outlets also support backup battery power, with a 6 ms transfer time and total run time of 2 or 8 minutes at full or half load, respectively. Two coaxial and two RJ11/45 ports are also protected from surges.
Connect phones, tablets, or other personal devices to two USB Type-A charging ports with 2.1A of power delivery. A USB Type-B port also facilitates communication with a connected computer. In addition to sending various alerts to a connected host, this UPS sports an LCD display that makes monitoring performance a cinch. Providing a simulated sine wave output, the Liebert PSA5-500MT120 UPS is compatible with 86-143V inputs operating at 50 or 60 Hz frequencies. The power cable measures 6′ and terminates in a NEMA 5-15P plug. A USB and coaxial cable are also included. In addition to the limited 3-year warranty, this UPS comes with a $300,000 equipment protection plan.

Needed a power backup for my security system. I have the 1500 and the 700 unit and they both perform reliably whenever power goes out. Some people complain about monitoring software, but I haven’t had any issues. Windows automatically detects it as a backup battery or you can install Liebert software for a few more options.

Like it says in the title, I bought this 4 months ago and the battery no longer charges. Surge outlets work, but the unit shuts off battery protection after a 1/2hr after turning on.

Needed one of these UPS for my rig. Great little unit. This should do the job nicely. Great price! Now I don’t have to worry about data loss due to a power outage. Thanks, B&H!

I received this Vertiv PSA5-1500MT120 as a sample to review. Unfortunately I never had to test it’s full capacity to support all of my electronics in the event of a full black out as we didn’t have any energy shortages but it did work well with keeping things running smoothly. The main thing I tested it with was my work tablet which is a Surface Pro. I often let it go down to almost zero charge and then used the Vertiv to keep it going to shut down programs safely. The accessibility of the ports and the volume given are great for connected households with many electronics (we had this down in our game room which houses a wifi router and modem laptop tablet a DVD changer tv PS3 4 and 5 Xbox one x Atari Sega Genesis Wii Nintendo game cube etc) and it took most of our systems no problem which saved us space on our limited outlets. My only drawback is the size and weight. It is extremely heavy and you really need to brace yourself when lifting or moving as I did almost drop it on my toe taking it in from the post when it arrived. Also, the battery is lead acid which is older and not as effective technology for long wear or many recharges. A lithium iron phosphate would be the most practical for extended life but probably not as economical for production, but at least a lithium ion would be better too.

I recieved this UPS free as a trial to see how it compares to other UPS battery backups that are available. This is very easy to plug in and has 10 total outlets, 5 battery & surge protected outlets and 5 surge protected outlets. There is a panel to easily monitor the power. All cables included and easy to read directions available online. I would recommend this to my family and friends

Suggest keeping it some where stationary or where it can’t be bumped easily off something especially with pets and small children. I’ve had several; the worst was the most expensive. Complicated, difficult to set up; the batteries died the day the warranty expired (or close). The VERTIV UPS, however, is easy to instal and provides superior software. Simple to set up and to maintain settings and see condition. While I cannot, as yet, comment on its longevity, so far its a bargain and highly recommended.

I received the PSA5-1500MT120 in return for this review. It was very convenient to have considering our power can go out often here in the Midwest with windy conditions from the snow storms we can experience. Since COVID we’ve had to stay home much more than expected so having a fully charged phone or being able to have a working tv for the kids have been very important. The only thing I disliked was it was quite large and heavy. Also, it was loud while it ran but other than that it did the job well!
