Bought this on sale. I really, really like that the price was quite right at the time I bought this, especially compared to another UPS I bought from a big wholesale chain right before this. Even the non-sale price is right. A modem and WiFi router is plugged to this UPS. The idea was (1) not to be without Internet when the power is out, and (2) protect the modem from surges by passing coax through the UPS. Of these goals, (1) has been met just fine, and (2) has been an abject failure because UPS units (both this one and the other big wholesale store’s one) seem to add interference to the coax connection. There was atrociously bad packet drop rates, and no usable internet when coax went through UPS. Using different cables did not work either, so it probably wasn’t the fault of cables. Maybe coax-through-UPS works for TVs, or maybe a bigger name UPS would work. I don’t know. The Internet says that it is not necessary to add surge protection to properly grounded coax. I don’t know about that either. I guess I will learn more about that eventually, hopefully not the hard way.

Seems well designed. But Since I use it in a quiet environment where there are brief power hits, the I’m on battery’ beeps are an issue. Even low end APC units allow you to use their app to config notifications. The Vertiv app does not have this feature.

Had power at the house flicker on and off. Internet connection remained steady. For the price, I am very, very happy!

I bought this to hook up with Synology NAS. Since I tried hooking it up, it is not recognized by Synology DSM… I guess you have utilize their software for PCs. So unfortunately I use it for keeping my network Wi-Fi router and Ethernet switch running… if you want something for your NAS get something else like a APC or Cyberpower.

Not enough power to add a laser copier/printer to back-up, but plenty for a wi-fi unit. True sine-wave output a plus in case you have something small, like a laptop, to back up.

This the perfect UPS appliance for an office with two desktop computers, multiple external hard drives, printers and scanners. There are eight surge protected outlets, four of which are also uninterruptable power supply outlets. There are provisions for coax in and out ports, two cat 5 ports, one standard and one printer USB ports. It’s compact and silent.

Works like a charm. A little big, but in this case, I’ll accept that. No issues and setting up was a breeze. No electrical issues at my location since installed and cannot recommend how it would handle in such an event. Overall ; satisfied
