Keep crucial systems protected during a power surge with the PST5-850MT120 8-Outlet UPS from Vertiv Liebert. Designed to keep crucial systems running long enough for proper shutdown in the event of a power surge or overage, this UPS features eight surge-protected NEMA 5-15R outlets. Four of the outlets also feature battery backup power. Capable of a total output of 850 VA or 500W, the PST5-850MT120 supports input at 95 to 145VAC at 60 Hz and provides an output of 96 to 145VAC. A circuit breaker with a surge energy rating of 316 Joules protects connected equipment, including network equipment connected via two RJ11/45 and two coax ports. A USB Type-A charging port is also present, providing 2A of power. This UPS features a typical transfer time of 6 to 8 ms with a maximum of 10 ms and utilizes a sine waveform, ensuring smooth power output.
Utilizing user-replaceable batteries, the PST5-850MT120 features a recharge time of up to 90% in 6 to 8 hours. Connect to a host computer via a USB Type-B port and included cable. Users can also monitor status and performance using the integrated LCD display. The PST5-850MT120 incorporates a 6′ power cable with a NEMA 5-15P plug. A $200,000 Equipment Protection Plan ensures peace of mind in regard to connected equipment.

Not enough power to add a laser copier/printer to back-up, but plenty for a wi-fi unit. True sine-wave output a plus in case you have something small, like a laptop, to back up.

I bought this to hook up with Synology NAS. Since I tried hooking it up, it is not recognized by Synology DSM… I guess you have utilize their software for PCs. So unfortunately I use it for keeping my network Wi-Fi router and Ethernet switch running… if you want something for your NAS get something else like a APC or Cyberpower.

Seems well designed. But Since I use it in a quiet environment where there are brief power hits, the I’m on battery’ beeps are an issue. Even low end APC units allow you to use their app to config notifications. The Vertiv app does not have this feature.
