The VG2755 27″ 16:9 IPS Monitor from ViewSonic is an enterprise-grade monitor designed for the modern day office. Built with an In-Plane Switching panel, it provides you with vivid colors and wide 178° viewing angles. Specs-wise, it has a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 1000:1 static contrast ratio, a 250 cd/m² brightness rating, and support for 16.7 million colors. For compatibility with a wide range of systems, it’s equipped with USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, and even VGA ports. I purchased this wide screen after my other monitor gave out. It has great dimensions, clarity and extremely easy to setup. I currently have a Dell 24″ wide screen next to it and this one brighter and crisper than the Dell. I use this monitor for business, technical coding (software) and stock trading. I am currently ordering two more of these monitors to finish up on my 4-screen display which the top two new ViewSonic’s will be hooked up to my surface pro. PS: Don’t expect much for any setup instructions in the box but it is very intuitive to attach the base to the monitor, it was just strange that there was very little info in the box concerning how to do it and/or information about all the input cables that come with it.

Bought this monitor to use only witH USB-C with my MacBook Pro but it does not work. I have confirmed that all my cables and adapters are working properly. I could only make it work with the HDMI cable which defeats the purposes of paying extra for the USB-C port.

Great display. Despite the comments, you can get 60 Hz at 2K via type-c. All you need to do is switch USB 3.1 porta to 3.0.

The ViewSonic VG2755-2K 27 monitor is great for photographers doing their own post-production work. Great colors, high resolution, and is a snap to calibrate using my Spyder 5.

I work IT in a Dell/Apple dominated unit. I purchased this for my home office since my primary choice is not currently available. In short I would buy this monitor if your laptop requires 60W or less of power consumption. As soon I hooked it up to my Latitude 7400 the issue started. The issue is that the monitor will disconnect from the laptop and reconnect within seconds. And this will repeat several times. I spend a few hours troubleshooting and trying solutions, I even had Dell replace the motherboard. Nothing solved my problem. Finally I gave in and plugged my laptop’s power adapter along side the USB-C cable and the issue stopped. I went down the rabbit hole and found out that this monitor provides 60W via USB-C. My laptop requires 65W. I didn’t think the 5W would cause an issue like this. But apparently it will. This monitor works fine on my Surface Book 2 with an i5 which uses like 45W. Over all its a good monitor, it’s just annoying that I require my laptop’s power supply as well as the monitor’s USB-C. First world problems.

For some reason ViewSonic doesn’t publish supported resolutions and refresh rates for different inputs of this monitor. I wanted to use USB-C connection for laptops and DisplayPort for desktop. So, when I connected MacBookPro, I noticed that cursor movement is no smooth but I didn’t have time to investigate why. After some time I connected other laptops over USB-C and noticed the same cursor movement issue. After investigation I found out that over USB-C connection this monitor reports maximum supported video mode 2k@30Hz. DisplayPort and HDMI report 2k@60Hz. This is extremely disappointing. This information has to be released in technical specs! I give it one start even though I’m happy with other aspects of this product. It’s not good to hide important information from customers!
