The VX2478-SMHD 24″ 16:9 IPS Monitor from ViewSonic features a frame-less design, which equals ultra-slim bezels for a clean and bold look. It’s built with an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel that provides you with wide 178° viewing angles and vivid colors. With support for 16.7 million colors and a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution, the VX2478-SMHD offers crisp and clear content reproduction, suitable for office use, graphic, design, and home entertainment. Combined with a 1000:1 static contrast ratio and a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, this display will deliver darker blacks and brighter bright colors for an immersive viewing experience. Connect it to your system via HDMI, DisplayPort, or Mini-DisplayPort and then tilt the screen to your viewing preferences. Alternatively, you can attach a separately sold stand or mount using the 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes on the back.

Bought a new M1 Mac and needed a monitor for photo and general use. Read about panels and decided that an IPS panel was what I need. The ViewSonic ticked all the boxes, including price and value. B&H got it here to the west coast promptly, and the monitor does not disappoint. Very clear and responsive. Base is sturdy and well balanced. The Mac recognized the monitor immediately and set up a color profile for it, so no need to mess with settings. I purchase as much photo and computer gear as I can from B&H, B&H is very trustworthy.

Easy install. Good quality screen image. A bit awkward on the controls but doable. Tech service (yes, I called about the controls) was very good with the person being both interested in helping and patient with my concerns.

Basic manufacturer provided info sketchy at best. Could find nothing helpful on how to use the on screen controls. On top of that a ViewSonic Web manual page brought popup for Adobe Flash Player which dropped a virus on my computer. Too many glitches and dead ends from the get go.
