It’s hard to believe that I paid $165 for this monitor. Pros: the colors out of the box are almost great though you will need to spend a few minutes calibrating it if you want perfection. The monitor has zero IPS glow, zero backlight bleed and neither did it come with any dead pixels. It’s excellent for gaming and media consumption and I did not encounter some of the major flaws covered by Hardware Unboxed in their review of this monitor. Yes, response time is not the greatest in the world but this won’t be noticeable unless you are a pro gamer and play competitively. Cons: no height adjustable stand and navigating the menu can be a chore given the monitor doesn’t have a joystick. However, this is not a problem for me considering I paid $165 for the monitor. Overall: great budget monitor and works well with consoles too.

I’ve always used laptops in my home office but recently switched over to a desktop, so I needed to get a good monitor to go with it. The ViewSonic is a really nice monitor. It’s the perfect size for my desk. Between the size, the refresh rate and the 2K resolution, it’s a perfect monitor for gaming and business. And on top of everything else, the price is right! It has a DP port and two HDMI inputs so I can have multiple machines connected. The monitor looks good from all angles, even the back, which is important to me since my desk faces out into the room. The front bezel is super narrow, about 1/4, and makes the viewing area look larger than it is. The stand is solid and doesn’t take up a huge amount of desktop space. Although there is no elevation adjustment, I found that being able to tilt the display works just fine. I don’t miss the height adjustment at all. Great monitor, very glad I bought it!

Pros: -1440p IPS panel 144hz -no dead pixels, decent colors and brightness -IEC power cable input -VESA mount -2x HDMI, 1x Displayport -bottom/front mounted controls Cons: -styrofoam packaging. Makes it a hassle to trash. Other companies have figured out how to ship monitors in cardboard only packaging. -Tilt only monitor stand. Strongly suggest buying an adjustable monitor VESA arm. Other: -Coming from a Dell S2721DG TN panel gaming monitor so it wasn’t a huge wow factor upgrade but the IPS panel makes it great for viewing when I’m leaning back in my chair or slouching. -Other higher end/expensive gaming monitors from Dell/Acer/MSI etc have extra features like software menus, USB hub, and adjustable monitor stand but if you can forego those bells and whistles you can get a good panel for a bit less.
