It looks a bit “industrial strength”, but let’s face it… that’s precisely why you’re even looking at this to begin with. This sucker isn’t going anywhere once it’s mounted to your mantle. We have a somewhat thicker than average mantle (3 1/2″ stone slab), so many of the ones available on a mega-online retailer weren’t going to cut it. We tend to like to fill the stockings with a bunch of candy and small items, so they can get heavy. The standard decorative ones with the little hook that just sit on top of your mantle simply aren’t strong enough to keep from toppling over once you attempt to hang a loaded stocking. I can guarantee that this will NOT be a problem with these stocking holders. You owe yourself one less thing to worry about this upcoming Christmas, so stop hesitating and just buy them. You’ll be glad you did. 🙂
