Picked up at store. Then assembled at home. There is no stretcher bar on bottom of stand. So it is possible that the legs will expand and the stone plates drop through. There are slots in the bottom tray of the stand. I could connect a makeshift stretcher bar there. Or maybe there is supposed to be a stretcher bar and not supplied??????Reaching in to pick up items in the bowls might be a challenge for some people.

This is a beautiful piece, the serving trays are absolutely gorgeous and heavy duty. The only thing I was disappointed in was the sturdiness of the acacia wood stand. It didn’t seem to have the same quality in it as the serving trays, and it holds the serving trays and the slate inserts. Glad I purchased this stand, will get lots of enjoyment out of it.
