The original nibs lasted about a year under heavy use. The soft coating will eventually rub off, but the nib is very usable, just don’t press on the glass too hard.

I have bamboo stylus & the tips work wonders as long as I purchase Carbon Fiber nibs. I purchase more than one package at an order. Thank you B&H for have those tips & they are not expensive either.

I love these little nibs and the Bamboo stylus. There are a couple of issues that need addressing. First, out of the box, they are as smooth as a figure skater in an Olympic competition. However, this dancer grows old and tired very quickly, and bogs down as the carbon fiber mesh wears out. I don’t have an issue with a serviceable lifespan, but having gone through 2 nibs in as many months, I’m beginning to wonder about the overall quality and what the serviceable lifespan is. I don’t have a sandpaper faced phone or tablet, and there are no kids around that I can blame. While I do use it with on the phone with the Swipe keyboard (6 hours+ a day) and on the tablet about 12+ hours a week, I didn’t expect it to need replacing so soon. This includes the original nib that came with the stylus. I don’t know if these are normal numbers for usage, but they are for me. At almost $10.00 a pop (with shipping) the cost adds up quickly. After 2 refills, you’ve bought the equivalent of a new stylus. Secondly, though minor, is that it really isn’t suited for drawing or handwriting. I know there is a fine nib edition, but it was hinted that this nib could be used for that, but it really can’t. I’d love to rate this a 5, but due to its short lifespan, can only give it a 3.

These don’t seem to stay tight like the old ones. I need to tighten them often.

I love these replacement nibs for my stylus. They are very durable and are so much better than the rubber tips I have used before.
