The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I have thought about purchasing a Wacom for years and finally bought one. Although I haven’t had it very long so far I love it and it has made editing easier and more accurate. I only wish I had bought one sooner!

I had an older version of Wacom Intuos Tablet (about 10 years old), and this one is by far a huge jump. I like the over all size is a bit smaller, and the sensitivity of it is great. Highly recommended!

What a great product! I’m so happy to have finally purchased this tablet. It’s making my editing accurate and fast! This is a sound investment if you have a lot of editing to do.

Description: REVIEW UPDATE I am updating an earlier review in fairness to Wacom…You can read the original review listed later on: The problem I was having is now resolved. I did this by: 1) updating to the latest driver 2) I strongly believe part of the problem was bad sectors on my hard drive that I recently replaced with a solid state drive. ERGO…PROBLEM RESOLVED! Origianal review: 2/22/2018Driver Issue. WISH Wacom could FIX the problem!!!By KristinVERIFIED BUYERThis is my first tablet and have had similar problems as others have posted. I contacted Wacom on two different dates to discuss the driver issue. After making adjustments and insuring the driver was installed correctly there are still problems. Loading of the driver is inconsistent. If lucky all is well. If the driver does not load then here is my “work around” 1) Click on windows icon in lower work bar 2) Type Services into search bar 3) Scroll down Services and click on Wacom 4) Click STOP the service 5) WAIT several minutes and then 6) Click on RESTART the service 7) WAIT several minutes and the driver should load… ? This product works exactly as I expected it to – pressure-sensitive, easy and fun to use. It makes Photoshop work a heck of a lot easier – moving my hand and wrist in a pen-like motion is much more accurate than moving it with a mouse horizontally on a desk surface and having it correspond to a cursor moving on a vertical plane on a screen. It’s just much more intuitive. I would suggest trying one out before purchasing due to the price, but as soon as I tried my friend’s I knew I was hooked. There are, however, a few cons which are easily mitigated and didn’t affect my five star rating: – The pen tip degrades over time, but they provide you with new tips, called ‘nubs’. However, they do not provide instructions on how to swap them out, nor why some are different colors/shapes. There’s a wealth of YouTube videos about that, though. – The wireless dongle doesn’t always pick up the tablet right away. I’ve found that the best solution is to place the tablet directly next to the dongle, turn it on, wait for it to light up to show that it’s connected, and then I can move it elsewhere on my desk and it works fine for the duration of the session. – They don’t tell you that when you install the driver, there’s a whole series of driver properties. I found them by looking up how to affect the sensitivity, but I had no idea that the buttons on the device were customizeable (I set one to be an undo button, and another to be the space bar so I can easily jump around a picture in Photoshop). Overall, it’s great – would like a little more documentation, though!

If I had to talk to someone about B&H I’d only have good stuff to say, but… I CAN’T use my tablet. When I’m using it, it lags so much that I just stop using it. I’ve read a bunch o comments online about it and some say that it’s caused by Adobe, but others say that it’s because by Apple. To sum up, the delivery was perfect, but my main goal that is to improve my productivity with my new tool hasn’t been accomplished. Please, if someone knows how to solve this lag problem on Mac I’ll be very grateful. Anyway, thank you.

I like having a smaller wacom to use and picked this up for its wireless functionality. Turns out its the older model Intuos, which after a lot of digging on why the wireless module would not pair with my laptop, it turns out the dongle is too short and incompatible with a 2014 MBP; so you need to use another USB extension for it to work wirelessly opposed to the newer model that uses the computer’s bluetooth. Otherwise, it functions fine. The active space on the tablet is kind of small compared to the overall size of the unit.

I had to replace my old Intuos tablet because it was too old to be updated with the new drivers and it started acting up in unpredictable ways. I tried tablets made by other manufacturers but I could not find one that was as good as the Intuos. So, I got this newer version and I’m happy again! The only negative is that its Bluetooth connection is flaky, so I only use it with the USB cable plugged into the computer, not a big deal since that is how my old tablet worked.

Shipping was fast. Item was as expected. I bought this version because it was released only a few months before the current version and it’s way less money. Mac’s are overpriced, so i figured this is a good compromise. The computer is awesome. I use it with adobe CC and it is blazing fast.

This has made photo editing a dream! Really gives you the ability to get that fine detail with ease of use. I cannot believe I waited so long to pick one up, but so glad I did. The only thing that bugs me is the angled usb cord as I’m not a wireless fan and like to stay plugged in. But I can easily live with it.

I bought this product to upgrade from an old Intuos 3. It is a worthwhile upgrade and functions as advertised. The registration process and support are awful. I spent more than two hours trying to register and talking with a support representative. He now asks Please provide me a screenshot of your proof of purchase and a screenshot of the back of the tablet showing the tablet model and serial number. He has been given that information via phone more than once. I am sorely disappointed in the service, but acknowledge that it is a good product.

Having owned several Wacom Intuos tablets over the years, I was already convinced this newer IntuosPro Medium would be a good choice. It is a smaller form factor than my older Intuos3, but with a similar working area making it far more convenient and comfortable to use. Once properly installed, the performance and accuracy are top-notch. I work primarily with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Manga Studio Pro as a working artist and professional designer. What surprised me was how much I now use this IntuosPro tablet’s touch features for basic OS operations (both Windows and OSX). I may retire my mouse. Of the drawbacks, and there are not many (Wacom has been at this for quite a while and they really get the important stuff right) – driver conflicts (with my older Intuos drivers). This is clearly a user error, however it did cause me grief using the newer tablet out of the box. Once properly uninstalled and re-installed the device worked like a charm. Second, the USB connection at the tablet does feel a bit soft and I fear it may loosen up over time. The wireless works very well most of the time, however I may have caused interference with a Logitech Wireless keyboard which uses a similar bandwidth.

This is an amazing tool and has sped up my work in Lightroom as well as photoshop. The medium is a great size, if you’re thinking about getting one I highly recommend it. If you are not sure which size to buy the medium is perfect and even the small Is great if you’d like to save more money. I use a 15 inch laptop and this size was recommended and I don’t even use the whole sensitive space all the time, I turn it off and use a smaller workmates so I don’t have to drag my hand across the whole space, which is why I think the small would have been fine. But the pro line is well worth it!

I have been using Lightroom and Photoshop software for years with a mouse. This tablet has changed my life in that it has reduced my frustration by 100% and editing time by at least 75%

I wanna say that B&H is great on packaging and delivery time, a day early to boot. I paint in PhotoshopCC and Painter12 and the large tablet is so much better than the other sizes, which reduced my hand fatigue. Nice surface texture too. It is customizable in anyway I know of: multiple touch gestures, hotkeys, orientation (left/right/up/down), mapping for my 2 monitors or screen toggling, et cetera. Oh yeah, after 15-18 hours my Wacom battery was still at 70%, so nice without cords. I owned a Cintiq22HD and hated the graininess of the interactive screen, but I have to say there are no disappointments with this IntuosPro large and my 27iMac. Best set-up I have ever used.

Works much better than mouse, great for lightroom , will never go back to mouse.

While I have just begun to use the tablet, photo editing efforts are going to be a bit easier and much more accurate.

I thought that something was wrong at first and then I realized that the driver did not automatically install when I plugged it in. Manually installed the driver and it worked. I have watched several videos but have not had time to master its operation. I am confident that I will be able to do that but have not had time to make the mental conversion from mouse to tablet.

I have been a Wacom user for several years. This is a replacement for a 12 year old full sized pro pad. I use primarily for photo retouching and creating new or enhanced photo effects. I was a little concerned that this would not be big enough for the things I do but this works very well a and is plenty big enough. Another great product from Wacom.

I just got it and had a class in Washington DC by Corey Hilz–great way to get a quick start. I can see using this for special selections but won’t need if I am just going to run a photo through OnOne or Nik. I don’t expect to use it all the time. One glitch–the CD had a drive on it that doesn’t work with the latest El Capital Apple version, so the driver must be downloaded off the Wacom website. I found out only by calling Wacom support for help. It doesn’t allow the pen to control the cursor without that driver. Their support folks are great. Using it wireless is easy–it just works with no intervention. I can’t seem to charge it past 97 percent but that is a small problem.
