The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

The tablet is flawless as hardware, and if you want to buy it just research the sizes. The only subtle problems are in software: not keeping button preferences for radial menus, wonky touch controls for rotation and zoom in photoshop. I would recommend it because at its core it works and has helped me, I started with a Graphire 3 and I’m still happy with it and even after years of it being discontinued I could still use it (till windows 10).

Wacom’s infamous for their wide variety of driver issues but this tablet is the best available in it’s price range at the moment.

I use the product for my work in graphic designing. I depend on the quality of it, and it didn’t disappoint. it works perfectly! it’s a bit heavy, but that only matters when I go out to work at the coffee shop.

I recently updated my out-of-support Wacom Intuos 2 tablet/pen/mouse for the Wacom Intuos Pro tablet/pen. I was intrigued by the Capture One and Wacom webinar I watched a few months back and looked forward to increased workflow effeciency. The Intuos Pro arrived late on Friday. Downloading the latest version of the driver (6.3.20.4), I began the installation and customization process on my iMac running OS X 10.12. I ran into a driver issue fairly soon. When using one of the Express Keys on the side of the tablet, the driver would lock up with a warning beep and all functionality except registering the pen’s tip pressure would stop working. I tried killing the WacomTabletDriver but it would never start back up without a reboot. I tried back leveling the driver to the previous version (6.3.19.10) even though back leveling the driver does not allow importing the user preference file from a later driver. I’ve rebooted my iMac more times over the weekend than I have in the last year. I found no postings anywhere about the symptoms I was experiencing, including Wacom’s FAQ. As there is no tech support over the weekend, I had to wait for Monday morning to call Wacom. It is a known (to them) driver problem and the solution was to back level 6 versions to 6.3.15.3. Again I had to re customize the preferences for use in Capture One. Now I wait to see if it works. After back leveling the driver, Wacom tech support did mention that there was another work-around. When the Wacom driver locks up, restore the user preferences backup file (*.wacomprefs) file forces a restart of the driver without the need for a reboot. I wish I had know that sooner.

This tablet is great for photo editing and photo restoration work. It takes a little getting used to moving from a mouse to a pen and tablet but it will increase the speed and accuracy of your work in a substantial way. If you have not looked at these find a store so that you can compare the small and the medium. The medium is larger than you might guess and while it’s great if you have the room a small will likely suffice for the beginner to advanced users. Reviews seem to fall into one or the other camp but if I had it to do over again I would have purchased the small. The size and features from the small the medium do not justify the increase in price and candidly the small could do everything I need from the medium. That said I am happy I purchased a tablet.

the salesman was a huge help with this purchase. he took the time to show me the different tablets and helped me decide what was best for me. i did watch a youtube tutorial on setting up my tablet, that too was very helpful. i am using it and finding it works well with my photoshop needs.

For the price i got this tablet it is a fantastic deal! I now have a touch pad for my desktop photo editing machine. The pen tool is fantastic for photo editing, masking, touch ups etc. It does take a little fiddling with the software to fine tune how sensitive the inputs are, but once that is done it works really well. And the ability to have different settings for different apps is very handy. Highly recommend it.

Just plugged the tablet in. Wacom software automatically imported my settings from my old tablet. I’m loving the use of gestures.

This is a great tool for doing detailed photo editing and the ability to program the tablet for short cuts is a definitely plus. The tablet is well made and once you get beyond the nooks and crannies that come with programming the pen and the tablet, the thing works like a charm. The only nit pick I have is, when hovering over the tablet it’s hard to be accurate when tapping on a target, which may be something to get used to over time. Other than that, I definitely like the tablet and am glad I made the purchase!!

I’m a professional photographer who has used Wacom tablets for some years now. The new Pro tablet is one of the best I have used. I chose to purchase the small version (Used large and mediums before) this time after talking with friends, the small unit is a lot easier to work with since I don’t have to move the pen as much went I want to drawing in an area. Some people do not like the touch surface that is integrate into the new tablet but I love it. It make it easy to switch from photoshop to other programs on my computer. For example if I am working on an image and need to check email I don’t need to go to the mouse, I simply keep using my tablet. With the quick buttons it is easy to turn the functionality on and off with the press of a button. Therefore, if your palm keeps messing with your pen skills turn it off when you are working in the editing software and back on when you need it. The wireless functionality is great on set, because it keeps the work space clean and clear of distracting wires. The battery seems to go all day for now but if it were to go low it is simple to reconnect it and continue working. The new pen is a little more comfortable, I do wish they offered the travel case for it without having to purchase an entirely new pen. All the tips that come with the purchase will have just the right feel for anyone. All around the sensitivity and functionality of the new Wacom Pro makes it the best buy for the modern digital artist.

This is an excellent product that replaced an older, smaller Wacom tablet I purchased years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to find the new Intuos was easier to use and more responsive with the included stylus. This model comes with the wireless package although for me, I still use the USB cable to my Mac. I have completely eliminated the mouse for all my computing needs. It took me about a month to get completely comfortable using the stylus/tablet but the effort was well worth it. I love the pen pressure for brush sizes and opacity. I am no Photoshop expert but the Wacom has made post-processing more efficient and faster. This will only improve over time as I get more experience. I highly recommend the Wacom tablet.
