The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

Use this as my travel tablet with my Macbook Pro and it works great. Lightweight and portable.

After upgrading to IOS 10.10 I had to update the software for the tablet. The process was not smooth, refused to install correctly, and forced two calls and an email to tech support. The good news is that tech support was very helpful and cured the issues quickly. Still, why was the install routine such a problem? I have been using Wacom tablets for years and once you are used to the routine of pen vs. mouse it is much faster, more precise and easy to use.

The tablet works great and I don’t think I would like to be without it. However, with a Mac and up-to-date OS, the battery charge is inaccurate. Also the bluetooth connection at times has to be re-connected manually. These are minor and hopefully will be corrected in the future.

This tablet is so much better then previous small Wacom tablets that I have owned. Being able to hold sides when I am working with it away from the desk is exceptional and having 6 tabs to personally preset for use in different programs is very time-saving. Also being able to use it as a touch pad has great opportunities.

I purchased the Wacom tablet after years of seeing other designers and photographers use the tool. I was tentative about how well it would work and how fast I would adapt. Two weeks later, I don’t even know where my mouse is anymore. I haven’t figured out all the special buttons yet is why I haven’t given it 5 stars, but I anticipate I would be willing to *****. Actually writing this review is going to be my challenge to learn those. Its a great way to change your product, by changing your tools. Cheers!

After borrowing my sister’s Med Intuos 4, I opted for a Small of the newest version. It’s perfect for me for retouching. I even shrunk the interface to even smaller area than the default mapping (1/4 of the total area). I’m currently using a 19, expecting to get a 27 when I have the moolah. I might be in the minority that likes an ultra-sensitive Wacom (sensitivity is relative to the ratio of monitor and Wacom size). I do a lot of short and brief strokes for my workflow. Artists who use larger motion and more arm and elbow in their work would probably opt for Medium or Large. I don’t like that it’s made in China, even though the quality is quite good. (it’s a political issue)

I was unsure about getting the medium Intuos vs. the small Pro, and I’m so happy I bought the small. My main use is for post processing of photos, and some light video editing, and this tablet is perfect. I have limited amount of room on my desk, and this fits perfect. It’s also incredibly travel friendly (fits nicely in backpack with a laptop). The tablet is easy to setup, and the fact that it comes with the wireless kit is a nice addition for the price.

The medium size is just right and great for editing all size photos. The software is easy to install and the entire contents well packed.

Very nice. It can be a bit difficult to start with, but practice makes it easier. Really excited to use it every day!

This is my third Wacom tablet. I absolutely can not live without it. I spend 12 hrs a day editing and if I had to go back to using only a mouse, I would quit and get a paper route. My only complaint was that the driver installation was glitchy.

I have a cintique 21UX, It is way to big an I hardly use it. You almost have to use it as your main monitor. This Intuos Pro has everything I could ever want. It is also easy to plug in and start painting. Plus I can move around the house or take in on trips with me. I am selling my Cintique.

It is a well-established fact that Waycom is the way to go, period. However, I would like to see a slightly heavier pen and also, better instructions on real-world usage. For example, I didn’t know what to do the first time the tablet fell asleep. I couldn’t find anywhere how to wake it up. FYI, you press the round wheel button.

For some reason I was expecting the tablet to be much smaller than what it is, so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it. Another size surprise was that it came with a fancy stylus and an assortment of nibs to switch out for a variety of pen styles. Still getting the hang of using it for Photoshop edits, but so far it’s pretty fab!

Tablet overall is awesome, works almost exactly as it should. Also, the smaller active area works well for me, since it isn’t overly sensitive when trying to click tiny twirl down buttons or shy buttons. The surface does scratch really easily, I’ve had mine for about a week and it’s already pretty dinged up. You can’t really feel the scratches when moving the stylus around, which is awesome. They may even just be the plastic from the pen nib wearing down. The main thing that’s a huge inconvenience is the wacom drivers. They take up about 15% cpu pretty much all the time, and crash once every couple days. This means, you guessed it, that you can’t use your tablet until you restart your computer. Other than that, great purchase and I’m glad I bought it.

Still learning how to use it. It does not work with Windows 8 using the latest updated software, but seems to work with the prior version. I’m having some problems with the wireless. Some of it could be my fault. Maybe after I get use to it, I’ll give it a five star rating.

Yes, WACOM tends to be pricier, but I’ve found that their products hold up well and the pen sensitivity is unparalleled. What more can you ask for? This version of Intuos Pro is better engineered than ever. Very stable, ergonomic, even the packaging is reusable for traveling with the tablet. I notice the cabling is improved, the base thinner yet of higher quality materials, and the same for the pen and nib holder. Add to that it worked in 20 secs when I attached it (yes, I had the WACOM driver in place from an earlier tablet) but it was a cinch. Don’t wait, just get one and get drawing. I would recommend buying the Pro if you are a professional, it will give you way more life and is a better build. If it helps you decide on Medium vs Large vs Small, I can say the small is WAAAY too small, the Medium is very portable, fits in a laptop bag or lap and great ratio for most any project, though I’d recommend the large if you tend to work on artwork where full expressive brushstrokes/fluid arm movement is important. Otherwise, I’ve had the Large and prefer this Medium all around, and use a Cintiq 24 Pro in my dedicated workspace as an illustrator and motion designer. Have to review that yet, but purchased both from B&H who are a dedicated, reasonable and responsive company.

Love it… Directions leave a lot to be desired… which is why it gets four stars and not five. Intuos needs to hurry up and release USB-C connectors so that I don’t have to use a dongle with it and my laptop.

Mostly it does well, though a couple of disappointments. I switched off the touch feature after it kept on randomly detecting strokes caused by my hand touching the pad while using the pen. The other oddity is that is sometimes doesn’t detect a brief tap (single-left-click). Wacom support were responsive and sent another pen, but seems to be much the same. Doesn’t happen all the time though.
