The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I’ve been skeptical of tablet-ing for a long time. I thought my magic mouse did the trick when attempting fancy Photoshop tricks. I was WRONG. The Wacom has absolutely changed my practice, and therein, my life. Easy to use (I just plug play) and absolutely accurate. Highly, highly recommend. I’m just sorry that I was so late to the game.

Man, this gear is awesome. What actually makes your photos look superb is neither expensive lens nor an expensive camera. Photoshop is where a real photographer can express his creativity. This kid is just designed to bring photoshop to higher level and if you have a good command of using this tablet you can do literally everything, You feel yourself like a GOD

I felt I needed to upgrade my tablet from my 6- or 7-year-old Intuos 4, since Wacom was no longer issuing new drivers for it — risky business in the new era of Windows 10. So I upgraded to this Pro Medium with its Special Edition aluminum trim, which I don’t seem to mind. The extra resolution is immediately noticeable going across two 23 monitors, giving me a much more accurate feel and targeting, particularly in Photoshop. But while the Intuous 4 had nice, mid-bright readable markings down it’s side, the PRO has four lit boundary corners on the pen surface (practical, I suppose) and one bright position light set at one of four respective corners of the scroll wheel. I keep thinking my CAPS LOCK is on, seeing it out of the corner of my eye, ad I STILL haven’t gotten used to it. I’d rather they lit the whole scroll wheel somehow, as I always have a hard time finding it in my (purposefully) darkened desk space.

I’m an illustrator and I’ve been using Wacom tablets for 10 years and they are still the best there is at what they do. I’ve been using an Intuos 3 since 2006 and decided it was finally time to upgrade. I use it primarily for digital painting in Photoshop and Painter. The touch ring and having the Express keys at the bottom are already an improvement over the old design. I like being able to rotate my canvas with a flick of the wrist without having to deal with hotkeys. That alone has sped up my workflow. The increase in pressure sensitivity is great as well. I’ve only had it for about a week, so I haven’t had any issues yet. I have read about issues related to the USB cable and the Express Keys, but so far so good. If anything changes soon I may update this review. One thing I thought was strange was that B&H shipped this without any padding whatsoever (yet the small box with replacement nibs was wrapped in big, thick bubble wrap). That initially had me worried because the box was pretty dinged up, but so far everything is running smoothly. In summation, if you’re into digital painting, Wacom is still the best.

I edit on Avid media composer and Premiere and this tablet has made editing more fun. Took a while to get use to it, but after getting the hang of it, it has been a breeze.

We use the product mostly with Photoshop as well as a napkin replacement for quick design talks over a webex. The responsiveness to the stylus pressure and angle is greater than a number or spec can convey. It is easy to pick up and use right away, very intuitive.

I debated a long time whether or not I should purchase a pen/tablet for use with editing my photos. I finally gave in and decided to give it a shot. WOW! Doing photo touch up work is so much easier with this tablet than with a mouse or a trackpad. I’ll never give it up my tablet! Installation and setup was a snap on my Mac. You can easily customize the tablet controls globally and/or by specific programs. It is taking awhile to figure out exactly how I want to customize is for each program but the process itself is very straightforward. I didn’t find the learning curve for basic photo editing to be very steep. I was removing unwanted antennae, wires, etc. from my photos in no time. However, it is taking me longer to get use to using the pen/tablet as a general computer input device (e.g., navigating menus). I’m getting better at it and the touch portion of the tablet is helping since it’s similar to my trackpad although it’s a little awkward trying to use the touch gestures while holding the pen in the same hand (I know, I could place the pen in its handy holder).

I use this product as a professional illustrator/animator. My only complaint, a minor one, is that the pen nibs seem to wear down,a bit too fast. I am along time usef of these tablets and they respond as advertised, well worth the money. I only updated my tablet, because as I updated the MacOS, my older tablet will not work with the newer OS

Pros- 1. Looks like the images 2. Does everything it says it will. 3. No real deviations from what is mentioned on product description and functions. Cons- 1. Not sure if it is software issue or product issue, but when I use CameraRAW in Photoshop, the sliders do not respond immediately to the pen. I have to go back and forth before it grabs the slider button and moves it. I do not have this problem with a mouse, so Im thinking its a problem with the product. It can get very frustrating. 2. Again, in CamRAW (in Photoshop), some of the drop down menus do not respond to the Right click setting of the pen. Nothing drops down. I do not have this problem with a mouse, so I think its a product defect. Overall- What choice do we have? This is the most ubiquitous product for editing and theyve monopolized the market. I really wish there were more options considering the flaws aforementioned. Until another brand can make something better, I guess were stuck with this, unfortunately.

I bought this tablet so that I could be more accurate using Photoshop. The small size was the right one for me to buy, it’s really not that small. There is definitely a learning curve but so far I am sticking with it. I watched a few tutorials and had no problems setting the product up. The buttons on the pen and tablet are customizable giving you lots of shortcuts to items that you use often. So far, I like using it but still miss the mouse – I am still not totally used to it. (It has been about two weeks.) I have not found it to be a help to me in Photoshop yet, I am hoping that will come with practice.

Big learning curve but I can see the advantages of using a tablet. Time will tell how long it will take me to get to the sweet spot. Easy setup, quality make.

I am a new photoGrapher expanding my capabilities as an artist. The wacom tablet fits perfectly with what I am looking to do. Way to setup, easy to use.

The inclusion of the wireless feature of the previous models as standard is a wise move. It makes the tablet much more mobile and useful. Wacom is the standard in drawing tablets, and this is a great size for just about everything.

The tablet arrived on time and well packaged, which is typical of B&H. Since this is my fourth Wacom tablet, I didn’t think I would have issues with installation and configurations. Well, for whatever reason, my computer did not want to reboot after the initial installation. On top of that Windows decided that it needed an update at the same time. Since a restart to complete installation was stated as required, I thought I blotched both the update and the installation when the computer hung on reboot. When I finally got the computer to boot up to Windows 10, the pen responded to the tablet, but no touch??? This is where a better operating manual would have been appreciated… I tried reinstalling multiple times and still nothing. I wish installation steps would provide more feedback after each configuration change. Right before I gave up, I flicked the switch to the side of the Tablet, which I thought was the Bluetooth switch… well, as it turned out, that was the touch on/off switch. Because of the confusing installation, it took me a couple of hours when it should have been about 3 minutes. Aside from that, it works great…
