The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

This allows me to edit in Lightroom or Photoshop with more control over things such as opacity. Using small brushes and other things that are doable with a mouse but the tablet makes much easier.

I’ve known this company for awhile, think hooked up after a Camera company in Hollywood that I frequented went bankrupt. Or maybe I found in the old days working IT. Regarding the product, as advertised & most grateful for the CC subscription. Will consider the company for future electronics 1st before even considering Amazon.

Easy to use – allows for very detailed editing. Why did I wait so long to get it?

Great tablet. It’s not perfect because if I use it in wireless mode there is some time lag and freezes sometimes.

This tablet is excellent for processing photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. It definitely takes some time to learn and get comfortable with but seriously increase the control I have versus a mouse. Setting up the controls is easy with the manual. Reducing the proportion of the tablet also helped, so I didn’t need to make big movements to navigate the screen since I have a 27 monitor.

I’m never disappointed with Wacom products… Works perfectly! If you really want to paint this is the tablet for you. I find medium works perfect not to big not to small. 🙂

I bought the small tablet after reading several recommendations that it would be a good size for working with Photoshop. It turned out to be a perfect choice. I also love the ability of this tablet to use hand gestures, much like the trackpad for my iMac. That makes it easy to jump between programs, without having to switch devices. If you use Photoshop or lightroom, it’s a must have.

I am a photographer and use the INTUOS in post production to fix up my photographs. It does what I need it to do with ease. I’m not sure I like their selection of USB cable to go with the product. The plug-in looks easy to break. May go out and find my own cable. Thankfully it is a standard USB connector.

I have been using Wacom tablets for years. I purchased the Intuos Pro in January. I use it primarily for photo editing work. Shortly after the purchase I started setting up some of the more advanced features in the control panel software, like display mappings for each application, Express Keys, Touch Ring, Radial Menu, etc. It did not take long for me to discover issues with their software. Mapping settings were not persistent, and had to be re-mapped every time I rebooted. The Radial Menu only worked on Display 1, not 2. I contacted support and they acknowledge these as issues and stated that future releases would rectify the problems. That was true, but I had to wait about 3 more months to see those fixes. Just this month my wireless adapter died. I diid an RMA. The new unit seems to work, but it was a bear to setup. I ran into all types of issues getting the device to work. Finally got it working, but still today, when I am connect wirelessly, the Wacom preferences show No Tablet Found but the device works. And I can see the tablet in the control panel software (which is good). The worst part of the whole scenario, is the disappearance of support. After the RMA they have not responded to a single request for additional help. That is quite surprising for a device they call Pro. Mac OS X 10.9.4 Wacom 6.3.8-2

My primary use is for post processing images in Photoshop and painting portions of them in Corel’s Painter. I have been using Wacom tablets for years. The only reason I purchased the Pro Creative is that my old one did not work with the latest update to Windows 10. It far exceeds my original expectations. There is only a barely noticeable lag, which is less than my mouse. The pen feels very comfortable in my hand, and the tablet is far more sensitive to pressure than my prior tablet. There is a learning curve in accommodating to its sensitivity, and I have to learn not to put my hand on the tablet.

This tablet is very versatile and easy to use. I had an older model that wore out and replaced it with this. Very happy.

Really really great! Thought it would be difficult to draw without look at the tablet. Not at all!

first time tablet user, very intuitive. HUD makes programable buttons as ease to use. Especially like the ability to customize functions based on the application being used. would definitely recommend.

This device is great but I want to clear up some things. First the software for this is better than the non special edition and I find the automatic parameters to be intuitive. That and wireless functionality being included (the standard needs an additional purcjase kit) is the only major difference besides the silver stripe color. I am sad though about the silver stripes because they are not brushed aluminum like i was hoping… They are infact…. Plastic 🙁 Its a greay buy though and B&H had it for the best price anywhere. Much love to B&H!

Over a year ago I purchased this tablet for art (inking my sketches and digital art) and photography. The first thing that I noticed is that the surfaces has far more texture than my Intuos medium tablet, and that additional texture wears out nibs. Within a week I found myself reverting to my old tablet due to the odd feel and fear of burning though nibs. I am a college student. I dont have money to purchase nibs as a quick turn-over disposable every month after buying a tablet at this price. I know that there are texture sheets available for the tablet, but with a msrp of $500 for the base model (+$50 for the paper edition) this should be plug and play. I would have been happier if a full smooth sheet had been included instead of *small* sample circles. To try to negate the friction, I tried to use baking waxed paper to draw on. After a while the paper started to warp and wrinkle, so I have almost stopped using the device. I told myself that I would give it two solid months of use before buying a texture sheet, but still have not given it that that much of a work out due to my concern with every stroke I take wearing out the nib. At this point I feel like I have owned it long enough to write a review even without the extensive work out I had hoped. Pros: ++USB-C cable: I have started to switch to (and love) these cables. I am glad that Wacom has support for this. ++Solid feel: While this tablet does flex *slightly* I love its look and design, but at the price point I do expect this. ++Aesthetically pleasing: Another thing that I expect at the price premium +Physical media interaction: Even with my Intous medium I had been thinking about this. Cons: —THE TEXTURE: I know that many people say that it is for a paper-like feel. If I wanted a paper-like feel, I would clip a piece of paper to the top and draw on that. — No included alternative sheets: I get that it raises the cost of the product, but Wacom takes a good markup on drawing panels and tablets. For a “pro” line product, this really made me feel like a sucker. TLDR; The tablet looks and feels good and I want to like it, but I feel like I have been suckered by a company that I have respected just for them to get more nib sales. For those who are looking at buying a drawing tablet like this, keep in mind that the texture on is rough side and eats nibs. If that means you buy another brand like Huion, so be it. If not, I recommend budgeting for the $40 smooth texture sheet (though I personally have not purchased this yet).
