The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

We use the Intous Pro Paper Large primarily with AI to make vector art for screen printing. It is fantastic! It has really done wonders for our work flow. The size of the work area is great and the new design is very sleek. I use the paper mode most on airplanes when I am sketching design concepts as I travel. It is really nice to be able to have digital designs ready as soon as I hook it up to my computer. I like the feel of the pen on the tablet with the stock serface and the ability to customize the button function to the specific program you are using is great!

Sensitive, flexible and easy to configure. My new Intuos Pro Creative Pen Tablet (Small) easily fits on my desk by my new HP Windows 10 laptop. Once I got everything configured, it acts as pen tablet and mouse, with one button to bring up the configuration if I choose to change anything. One handy feature my old Intuos Pro lacked is a Touch On/Off switch on the side. As I tend to drag my hand across the tablet, this is a wonderful feature. Deserves 5 stars. LOVE IT.

The small is a great size for photographers. Small enough to put in a bag to travel with but big enough to comfortably use on my lap. Having the buttons on the side was the biggest reason I got this one over the pen & touch, and I’m glad I did. The software is very easy to use and set up for all the programs you use.

I’ve used many mice in the past, recently the Vertical Mouse 4 (the cable died on three different mice so I had to stop using them) and then the Handshoe mouse, which I still use and love. But I had been recommended the Wacom tablet method from people I know who use computers for post-film workflows. I use my Wacom within Pro Tools and have been loving the new feel. I certainly am not as fast as I used to be on the mouse, but I can tell that I will improve my skills with the interface soon enough to match my speed on the mouse. I love the mappable keys on the pen and the tablet which save me tons of time during sound editing. Overall I really dig the device. My biggest gripe with the device is specifically in Pro Tools (so it might be more of a pro tools issue) but scrolling horizontally is atrocious in comparison to scrolling on the mouse scroll wheel. I’m not sure why it’s so bad, but it is specific to Wacom’s scrolling implementation. I’ve found workarounds but it certainly could be better.

Took about an Hour to go through and set up my keys-shortcuts etc, but after that was pretty easy to adapt to. I would recommend losing your mouse for a day or so to force you to learn/use the tablet. I love it!

The few basic shortcomings of this tablet are somewhat baffling, considering how long Wacom has been in this business. The pen is thicker than typical art pens, an adjustment for many artists. For some reason, the pen does not fit well in the holder and my generic pen rest work better. The lack of attention to detail is evident throughout the design of the tablet, software, and in its performance. Nibs are designed to be replaced after rubbing on the rough tablet surface. Nib life (and tablet life) can be extended by securing a smooth surface like paper or mylar. As far as tablets go, Wacom has no serious competition that I can recommend. The downside to this is the lack of innovation and refinement in their product. The user guide is outdated, meaning that crucial steps are left out or work differently than the current model. Nonetheless, through trial and error and research, you’ll get through installation and setup, as well as adapt to the few shortcomings.

I own several models and this one doesnt disappoint with the exception of battery life with the wireless kit…. A bit short. Good news is I more often use it with the usb cable… I love these things

I can’t believe i waited so long to get one. It’s incredible. It’s so easy to paint in the shadows or the highlights on an image, and it does it so gradually and naturally.

Ordered and received Wacom Intuos Pro Small and received it in very timely manner. Thank you B&H. Went through the install process following the Mac Big Sur directions from Wacom but the Pen did not activate. Called Wacom support twice and tried numerous work arounds. Called the 3rd time and now the Pen functions. Issue was some Launch Agents(?) were disabled in the utility CleanMyMac. Thank you Wacom support. Once those Agents were activated all is well. The small tablet fits my needs perfectly.

there definite is some learning curve to using this tablet. my first time using one and getting used to sliding hand instead of reaching. able to make some changes quicker but for now I am still using a lot of keyboard shortcuts.

Works great for masking in photoshop, like many people say I don’t know how I got along without it

A good upgrade from the Intuous 4. Much better, smoother experience, in my opinion. I’ve been using these before they used USB connections (1997?), so I like sharing my thoughts… The good: Wireless connectivity, oh my! I was considering selling it, or even recycling the battery, thinking I’d never use it. I originally thought it was a bad decision selling all these tablets with a wireless dongle and battery. But I have already used it extensively when switching to using my laptop. The battery is always charged because it’s plugged in on my desktop, and when I need the tablet for my laptop for a few hours, I just grab it and go. It’s a very nice luxury. The bad: These tablets continue to get larger and larger. I have it placed beside my keyboard and this one does not fit on the slide out keyboard tray anymore!! The Intuous 4 did fit, but with this one, the cable protrudes outside of the tablet significantly. Why? Because they wanted to include a little clip to tie up the cable. I got around that by using an old USB cable I had laying around. In the attached image, it shows how these things have grown over the generations. It’s odd because usually things get smaller these days. The ugly: seeing the Intuous Photo as a likely upgrade to my Intuous 4, I wasted $120 or so on what used to be called the Bamboo, and graphire before that. A marketing ‘genius’ somewhere took the Intuous line, and called it Intuous Pro and then called the hardly usable, budget friendly bamboo line and called that Intuous. That’s pretty shameful. It’s hard to find decent information on these because everyone rates them so highly because they are switching from using a mouse! So research wasn’t much help there. Imagine an automobile manufacturer with two major car lines, one called Beater and the other called Speadfreak. So the Beaters don’t sell as well as they could, so the change the name of the Beater to Speedfreak and now call the Speedfreak Speedfreak Pro! Again, shameful.

This is my second Wacom tablet. I received this as a Christmas present and am extremely happy with it. The tracking is precise, the buttons on the side are easy to set up and it works great wirelessly!

Downsized to this after my medium size Intuos 3 died. The drivers are still problematic in getting them to work properly and apparently Wacom has given up on developing decent drivers. The latest driver eliminates the still advertised customizable Radial menu to get it to work at all. The math of double the sensitivity doesn’t translate to feel, feels the same, though the adjustments don’t work as well. B&H service was excellent, as always.

Prompt shipping and excellent packaging from B&H (as usual). This was an upgrade from my old Wacom Graphire 3. The slightly textured surface on the Intuous is much nicer to draw on than the slick surface of the old unit. It is much closer to the feel of a real drawing instrument on real media. The express keys and touch ring improve workflow since I have them set to my most frequently used keyboard combinations and with the raised dot and dash on some of them I don’t have to take my eyes off the screen but can find them by touch. This latest model supports gestures so I can zoom and rotate with my fingertips on the tablet …. most of the time. Occasionally the device seems to lose it’s way and I need to cycle the TouchOn/Off key to re-establish connection. The Intuous comes with the hardware for wireless connectivity and I tried it, but the gesture sensitivity got all wonky, so I went back to using the USB cable full-time. Despite these two minor issues I am still thrilled with this latest tablet and would buy it again.

Works very well on my small desktop; very sensitive to nuances in pressure which I love; as I tend to be light on the pressure–I’m just not heavy handed at all. The cord is plenty long to work from my lap when I want to.

I bought my wife one of these pads for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. She reports that the pressure sensitivity is top of the line. The items have weight and are a mark of true quality.

The pen and tablet are great, but their documentation for using the pad and their Tablet Properties Software is non-existent! And their videos on their website are not up to date! Wacom used to have great customer service. Not so much anymore.
