The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I use the Wacom Intuos Pro Medium in my photograhy post production workflow. There is an involved learning curve and many tutorials available to aid in learning how to use it. However, once I adjusted to using the product, retoucing with a mouse is like painting with a potato. I like the versatility of custom functons available that speed up editing and retouching. A great product for graphics, photography, and audio/video applications. That said, there are some caveats to be aware of. The pen that comes with the product is too fragile for my taste. It can and will break eventually, even under normal usage. Solution, Purchase the Wacom Pro Pen with carrying case. I love using the Pro Pen. It has a sturdier feel and build. Not as sturdy as I would prefer. If you use the tablet in multiple locations, as I do, be sure to purchase the Wacom case to carry accessories and protect the tablet. This is my second Wacom Intuos Pro Medium, as my fisrt one is being repaired by Wacom (under warranty) because of a hardware problem that prevents my buttons and custom functions from working and I am not rough on my equipment. To be fair, it may just be a faulty solder point that could happen to anyone, but for the money it costs, I expect a sturdier build. Now I can have one for my desktop computer and one for my laptop computer when I need to be mobile. In spite of all I mentioned above, I give this product a five star rating because it really is a fantastic product overall. I can justify the cost because of the performance overall and the way it enhances one’s workflow efficiency. Works just as well on Mac and PC. Battery life while using the tablet is long and makes it nice not to have cords all over the place. Highly cistomizable for one’s individual workflow style is fantastic and thoughtful. Overall, a big benefit and valuable tool. Customer service is helpful and easy to deal with.

I was forced to upgrade from a Wacom Intuos 3 after my cat chewed through the USB cord. The Intuos Pro Medium really is an upgrade in certain areas– the extra Express Keys and the Touch Ring are really useful and efficient, and I like the cordless option. However, the tablet falls short in a few key areas that it really shouldn’t, given the price tag. Durability: The active area scratches easily. I had the 3 for at least 10 years, and have had the Pro for just under 3 months; it’s already showing more wear than the 3 (and with rather light, non-daily use). Pen nibs: I’ve already gone through more of these than in the 3’s ten years, as well. They wear down very quickly to a point sharp enough to score paper (hence all the scratches). Software: The driver resets some of my Photoshop preferences every time I start my computer (so that I have to reassign certain Express Keys), and has on several occasions uninstalled itself completely. Other: The velvety, matte finish feels nice but is a magnet for dust and fingerprints; I store it in the plastic bag it came in, inside a laptop sleeve, just to keep it clean when not in use. (The 3’s shiny plastic exterior was much easier to clean.)

This is my first tablet purchase. I use one in the studio I work at. It is very easy to use and I find it much easier to edit small details with the pen. It is lightweight and portable. The only thing I didn’t like was that the CD that came with the tablet wouldn’t work to install the product. I had to go to the website and choose my product, then download the installation that way.

I just bought my first Wacom tablet and I can’t believe I hadn’t one of it before. I’m a graphic design student and only could use a drawing tablet at school. But now I can practice with it at home too. In the beginning, is challenging but after you learn the movements you’ll save so much time. I highly recommend it if you use Photoshop, Illustrator or any design software.

I have not had it very long, but find it much easier to use than the mouse. It is just a matter of getting use to operating the new system. I think I am really going to love it.

I previously had the Intuous 4 medium-sized tablet and was looking towards updating to the newer Intuos Pro line for a while now. Once this went on sale, I jumped at the opportunity. Pros – Love how this takes up less space on my desk yet maintains the same drawing area. The pro pen is really nice to draw with and I like the new pen stand and how I can rest the pen horizontally or vertically. A big reason why I wanted to get this was cause it has Bluetooth. I’m able to get about 2 days of battery life if I’m working my full-time remote job from home. It’s very convenient that it uses USB C since I have other peripherals that utilize this, so I just charge with the same cable. Cons – My previous tablet didn’t have touch functions on the drawing area so this took me some getting used to. Although I find some of the gestures useful, my cursor moved around too much as I was typing with gestures turned on so I disabled it for now. Also, when my computer goes to sleep, I have to click the middle button on the scroll wheel in order to wake it up. Would have been nice to wake up the tablet automatically when moving the pen over the drawing area. Overall, a worthy upgrade if you can buy it on sale. Also, having 1 year free of the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Bundle is a great bonus!

I still haven’t gotten it all down but I’ve already gotten rid of my mouse and my wrist feels great. I see tons of potential in the photo editing sphere with short cut keys and using the pen for corrections. Have talked to other photographers about tablets and it seems many give up after the initial awkwardness. If you get through that, I think it’ll pay many dividends in speed and comfort at your workstation.

I use this pad in a multitude of ways. I bought it primarily to use with various photo apps (LR & PS). I had an old tablet that I hated using and could not get to function to my liking. This one is so easy. The medium is BIG, too. Since it is like a giant trackpad I’ve begun using it with other apps, like digitizing embroidery files plus a couple of drawing programs. I wish I had made the plunge sooner.

While the smallest Wacom of the Intuos Pro tablets, it is very precise for editing in Photoshop. A joy with which to work.

I’ve used the Wacom Bamboo prior to this, but it wasn’t great when working with dual monitors. I find the size of this tablet to be perfect for all kinds of work. I primarily do video editing, and this thing is a dream for that! Super easy to program macros and it’s sped up my overall workflow tenfold. My photoshop doodles have definitely improved as well!

I had read multiple reviews and almost prevented me from buying this product. People talked about the flimsy connection of the USB cable, bad WIFI, among others. So far, no problem with the connection…after all I am not dancing with the thing…it is sitting on the desk directly in front of me. And with or without the cable connected, works perfectly. Have not experienced any negative issues with the product yet. Some may have commented about the sturdiness of the product…it just sits on the desk. I am not playing football with it! And all instructional videos I have seen have the tablet sitting on the desk. Only issue is the configuration of the software so that it is performing the correct way when using the tablet, but that is not an issue with the tablet, only the software. Overall, a very good product and I am glad I purchased it and did not agree with those lame reviews. I tend to be very critical of negative reviews anyway. Thank goodness for that otherwise I would not buy anything!!!

I was looking into buying Intuos Pro, and the size was a big enigma for me. I have 21.5 monitor, and in the end went for the small one. It is perfect, because I don’t prefer big hand movements and it is just the right size for my desk. I also read a lot about the learning curve when moving to a tablet vs. a mouse, but I also read all the possible reviews and it seems that in my head I already switched to the new retouching tool. I have been using it for 2 weeks now in LR and PS, and must say it is a big improvement in my precision.

I use the Medium sized tablet for photography with my MacBook Pro and I love it, however since I travel often I would recommend the small for anyone in the same situation. Using a stylus and tablet make my photo editing much easier more precise and fun. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and the tablet is a great way to improve interfacing with both. Having the ability to adjust brush sizes on the surface is really cool too.

Been using Intuos for awhile. Wanted a larger tablet to better match my screen size. Just now trying the paper edition. Based on initial tests I think it will work great by eliminating some scanning and making vector drawings oh, so much easier.

I finally replace my 11 year old tablet with the new Intuos. It was like night and day. Bluetooth works like charm and the express keys are a workflow dream come to life! I think this tablet is anther rock solid Wacom design and I plane to have it for the next ten years, fingers crossed.
