The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

Very easy installation and customization (cable or Bluetooth). I’m using the tablet in a Macbook Pro, and I’m impressed with how responsive it is. The Small size eases the carrying for any place.

My previous Intuios 3 worn out so heavily that eventually I had to buy this tablet. My main impression: this tablet is even less reliable than Intuios 3 (I use it with iMac). Besides that, 95% of its improved functionality are useless and irritating. I wish I had my Intuios 3 back:( I only checked Recommended because there is no real alternative on the market to this tablet.

I haven’t had a lot of time yet to learn this new skill, but looks great and with some instruction I’m on my way for better editing of my photos. Will update later

This model is going on sale a lot now, but that’s probably because this appears to be the old version. Wacom has come out with a new version, model PTH460.

Very easy to set up. Will need a few tweaks to the pen’s sensitivity.

I bought this to primarily use in my photo processing in Lightroom. Although I move quickly with my mouse, I felt that a pen tablet would offer more control. Pros: Ergonomics are very good. The pen feels natural and the surface of the tablet is spot on. The tablet ships with an assortment of nubs for the pen, all which give a different feel. The tablet has several programmable buttons that add flexibility. The tablet is light and thin. I have the small, which is more than suitable for my needs. The small tablet does not take up much real estate, and offers more than enough room to work. Set-up was not difficult, with both wireless and usb included. Cons: First, the tablet does require a steep learning curve. Not so much with the technology, but certainly with the comfort. It is a different way of interfacing with your programs that is not necessarily intuitive. You must re-learn how you work. I’m not there yet after 2 weeks, but I have hope. Second con, and hence my two (2) star rating, is that drivers for the tablet get dumped every time the computer (Win7) goes to sleep, hibernates, or reboots. You get prompted that the Driver cannot be found. After an afternoon wasted deleting and reinstalling the software, I found a work around on the internet, which involve a convoluted processed of terminating the Wacom service and re-initiating the service. No way on this green Earth is this an acceptable flaw. It’s an unnecessary hassle. Until Wacom sends out a fix for the driver, no more stars!

couldn’t start the setup problem. win10 will not load anything unless it comes from the STORE. solution: copy the setup program to a flash drive and run the program from said flash drive. problem solved. the table is weird so beware it takes some practice. i give it a two because no one at microsoft or wacom knew of a straight forward solution. wacom gave me a very convoluted solution and microsoft knew how to fix it but wouldn’t tell me. so give ten points to the user – me – and zero to wacom and microsoft.

I love this thing, I literally have nothing bad to say about it. It’s awesome.

I had a very old Wacom tablet and didn’t realize how much better the new ones are. I love the buttons and wheel on the side and am changing the way I work in Photoshop because of them.

This is a must have if you want your editing to look natural. It took me about a week to get used to it. The wireless feature is great. The battery lasts a long time allowing me to bring it with me on the road.

We use this for retouching photos, it beats using the mouse

I love this thing. I own the largest of an older model wacom tablet and for transportation purposes I decided to invest in the small wireless model. This thing rocks. the size is not a problem for me whatsoever and I really dig how great this thing works. I have yet to experience any kind of lag or anything. awesome product and I highly recommend it to anyone in the design/photography industry.

I was having some wrist issues from a lot of mouse work and also had this on my wishlist for a long time. I’m a food photographer and often find myself doing intricate work in photoshop. It’s a bit of a steep learning curve getting used to the product from a mouse, but once you get the hang it’s fantastic within those photo programs (I use a combination of Capture One, Photoshop, and Lightroom). I have had a few connectivity issues with the wireless, but it does eventually sort itself out.

This is my second Wacom Tablet. I used at PTK-440 for a few years and although it was okay, it was a little bulky and uncomfortable to use. After watching Scott Kelby recommend the Wacom Pro Small I bit the bullet and bought one. I’m so glad I did. The smaller pad size is much easier to navigate around and more comfortable to use. The only problem I’ve had so far is that even though the drivers loaded right up on my iMac with Catalina OS, I’m having issues getting everything to load up and recognize the tablet on my MacBook Pro. Not a huge issue. I just need to make sure all the drivers get loaded up and put in the right place. Would I recommend the Wacom Pro Small? Absolutely. It has made my post processing much faster and more efficient.

Perfect size for my desk. Makes working Lightroom or Photoshop so much easier with more control. Should have bought this a year ago.

This Wacom tablet is great. I started with the Intuos small…wow is there ever a huge difference! I love the programmable buttons on the side of the pad, very handy and makes my workflow much quicker (I am a graphic designer and web designer). I really don’t know why I didn’t upgrade to this Pro Medium version sooner…if you are debating, I’d say go for it! It is well worth the money. I love how I no longer have to use a mouse because this has replaced the need for a mouse. Quite a wonderful product that I am very well pleased with. I cannot recommend it more! The pen feels comfortable in my hand and there is enough grip when you draw on the pad to make it feel natural. The eraser on the end of the pen is convenient and I use it often! I like the touch pad. it’s easy to use. The active work area is large enough to not feel too crampy (like the Intuos small), it is more than enough for my needs! I would highly recommend this product over and over again!!

Got it as a present for my daughter. The only complaint is that it lags on wireless mode so she keeps it plugged in.

i replaced this because my last wacom died. windows 10 didnt like it, i had issues with photoshop cs 5 freezing up, and finally my pen died. this thing is expensive, it has new nibs making the old ones worthless. though the tip is the same size, the back of the tip is smaller. the surface comes with a medium texture that feels like marker on construction paper, sort of like 400 grit sand paper something like that. you can get a very expensive fine version. or you can do like i did, and add a sheet of lightly sanded lexan to it. then its slick and there is no tip wear. i have yet to try this as a wireless, since i had so many issues with the last one i decided this is now a wired device. this version is a lot better in many ways, the touch ability is better, and you can turn it on and off by switch. the last one (the medium pro 650 i think, was always jerky. the pen works, but the 8000 levels will never be noticed since its in the light range, not the heavy. you would need a very light touch to see it. i rated this a 4 because of the design. the buttons are too small, too close together, and there is no space for your hand. i had to build a platform, sort of like a wrist rest to put my hand on it. otherwise my palm was hitting the buttons. the base is cute but, meh, its just a base. the device is lighter and less bulky than the other, but thats also a hindrance because my hand tends to slip off the edge. and the edges are sharp in spots. they have a metal back, and the left side has a rather hard edge there, another reason i have that rest. i have tried other versions, there are a lot of mock versions on amazon and they work, but the buttons arent as good. the price is the same everywhere, but BH had free overnight shipping, if this was amazon id still be waiting for it.
