The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I do graphics and FX work for television and needed a tablet for my home set up. This tablet worked right out of the box and didn’t require too much set up to get working on my computer. Great product!

I’ve had a wacom tablet on my desk for a decade plus and although it’s a fantastic piece of HARDWARE the software, specifically the drivers have killed any advantage gained by using it. Why? Because they constantly crash rendering the tablet useless. In the past year I have’nt had one day without seeing The tablet driver is not working or The tablet driver did not install correctly and having to restart the service or my whole system. Now, I can’t even get the drivers to load. I’ve done everything Wacom suggests (uninstall/reinstall) with absolutly no results. You would think that after 10+ years they would have hired competent coders to get the software right?! The good (when it works): Easy to use. Express keys are fantastic (as they always were). Touch sensitivty is helpful in PS and AI. The wireless would be a great feature if it actually worked (driver related). Don’t believe me? Just search web and you’ll see a list of driver problems.

I like the features finger control to turn my images. I use the product for lightroom 5 and adobe CS6

As an amateur photographer I only use a few of the seemingly endless options of this tablet – mainly for retouching in conjunction with Capture One – works great. As everyone says, it will drive you nuts for the first couple of weeks if you havent used one before.

For those also wanting to middle click when using the touchpad, you can assign 3 finger tap to a keystroke or keystroke combo and then use autohotkey to map that keystroke to the middle mouse button. This should be built in to the wacom software, but anyway it works.

I upgraded to this from an old bamboo. This is really much better. But be careful if you want something that’s easy to travel with. Even with the medium size, it might be too big for some people who want a more compact size.

Getting it to work on MacOS Catalina was an absolute pain. (Solve: Install ColorSnapper 2, which properly asks for Input Monitoring permissions. Then only can you add com.wacom.IOManager.app to the Input Monitoring list.) I do experience lag here and there but nothing major. I upgraded to this from a tiny 4×6 Wacom tablet that I got 10 years ago and I actually miss that small footprint. (i.e. I’m glad I didn’t go for the medium size… there’d be no point!) I’m mainly using this in lieu of a trackpad and to do more precise silhouetting in Photoshop, not for any larger digital drawings/paintings, so I’ve actually mapped it so the the active portion of the tablet is about half of what’s available so I don’t have to move my arm so much. I haven’t experienced any surface tablet issues with the nibs wearing down that other reviewers online have mentioned (it’s been about 6 weeks of regular daily use as a mouse/touchpad for design-related work). The touch feature has some gestures, but doesn’t map onto MacOS’s gestures perfectly. So if you rely on very specific gestures, this won’t be a replacement. But you can do things like pinch to zoom, two-finger scrolls, 4-finger swipe to view all open windows, etc.

Took a little bit of a learning curve. Be patient. Only regret…not ordering the next size up from the small.

This is a must have if you are post processing with Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. It will cut down your workflow time with better results and your hand & wrist won’t be killing you. Pen Pressure is a great thing! There is a learning curve because you use to using a mouse or trackpad. The large is LARGE. I love the size because it give me room to operate and makes me feel like a man. I would only consider a smaller size if you plan on carrying the tablet with you on the regular.

When you need a tablet because drawing with a mouse is like using a brick Wacom is really the only choice. B&H always has the best selection at the the best price. I love being able to order online and being able to pickup the same day without having to run around the store. Don’t get me wrong, nothing I love more then walking around the showroom. I just don’t have that kind of time every time I need a piece of gear.

I have older Intuos Medium Tablet and I love it! But I bought a new iMac and wanted to update to a new Intuos Pro. They both are great, I can not use a mouse because my hand cramps, this is the only product I use. I really recommend Wacom. The only negative is that the pens will wear out and will need to be replaced.

I used to love Wacom tablets but the newest driver with Catalina is horrific. Garbage basically. The tablet is good for surfing the internet but not for editing video or photos. Stay away until Wacom fixes the issues. Unusable with 4k video in Premiere. Unusable with Photoshop and larger files. Multiple calls to their tech support were futile and I’ve done everything except buying a new computer and I doubt that would work.

The Intuos provides infinitely more control than a trackpad or mouse during retouching in Photoshop. The additional pressure sensitivity levels of this updated model are noticeable, and the updated, refined design and solid construction are pleasures.

I used to have an older version of the intuos about 10 years ago, then graduated to a big cintiq, but after a few years of working on the cintiq realized that I actually preferred the intuos! I like to look at the screen of my mac while I work. I’m using it in photoshop for painting. Love the size of the medium. Very happy with it. B & H delivered quickly.
