The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I use this product in a professional workflow. Specifically as a Digital Imaging Technician in motion picture using a program known as Assimilate Scratch. The tablet is very responsive and very configurable. Both the pen & tablet seem to have be rugged & durable. I recently used it outdoors in a very dusty & pollen heavy location and it held up fine. The only gripe is that I wish the tablet had its own AC power instead of being USB bus-powered, which can damage the ports on your computer.

This tablet is flawless, but don’t expect to get a mouse with it. The compatible mouse costs $ additional. This tablet & pen is so easy to get used to you won’t miss a mouse after about a week. Installiation & set up super simple. Medium is about the right size for my crowded desktop. If you want mobility I’d choose the small.

This was a replacement for my Intuos 3 tablet. WACOM has certainly upgraded and made a better tablet. Easier to use, more short cut buttons and a much easier setup.

I have used Wacom Tablets for years and needed a smaller one for another workstation. I love the new Blue Tooth model! It connects without using a USB dongle and the battery life is great. I use it for my photography and artistic work so my tablets get a workout every day. You can never go wrong with Wacom products.

The transition to this tablet took me a long time. It is just so different from using a mouse. You move your pen across the black surface of the tablet and have to watch the behavior of the cursor on the screen. Learning to adjust to an absolute positioning of the cursor to the typical relative positioning of the cursor with a mouse was quite difficult to me. It was also quite difficult to get used to the buttons both on the tablet and the pen. You have to learn to hold the pen in such a way that you are not inadvertently clicking the buttons on it. In summary, there is a lot of reconditioning that is required to move to a tablet for the first time. You will have to expect this when purchasing this, or any other tablet. My first inclination was to return it because it was too difficult to adjust but I forced myself to work with it for a couple of weeks and have come to really enjoy the tablet now. If fact, I like it better than a mouse in many ways. I expect it would be much easier to the Cintiq model of Wacom tablet which displays your screen on the tabet itself but that is so much more expensive than the Intuos Pro. This is a very sophisticated device. There are a lot of advanced features that I haven’t yet explored but the basic features have already enhanced my experience as a digital photographer. I particularly like the bi-dexterous advantages of the tablet buttons. I purchased the medium size tablet. My recommendation would be to purchase the small version as it would require less movement of my hands across the surface. However, I can see that artists and graphic designers may like the larger space.

If you’re trying to decide about the medium vs small I would go medium. I bought the small one for my home and was able to get my work to buy me the medium. The bigger size is completely worth it. Just like they say, it takes a little while to get the hang of it and it is a little frustrating at first. However, as soon as you get the hang of it you will fall in love.

My Intuos 3 finally wore out after 8 years of 10-hour-a-day usage (it owed me nothing :-)…love the programability of this new Intuos Pro. The matte black finish looks sleek on my matte black desk. So stoked!!!

I’m photographer, I use it every day to edit my photographs, and I thought the learning curve would be enormous, but took me one day to adapt to it, I’m still learning to be comfortable with the tablet, it is much better to edit with mouse, my wrists thank me.

I use this product as an integral part of the workflow for retouching photographs and with Illustrator for crating vector graphics. The express keys and the touch control save steps and make the process enjoyable.

If you’re a regular user of photoshop, you’d be crazy not to have one of these. Makes retouching much easier and allows us to be much more efficient. The small size is perfect because it doesn’t take up too much space and is easy to travel with if needed.

Sometimes larger is better. When it comes to this tablet, I find myself more expressive with the larger tablet. Yes, you need to get used to the size, and losing the space on the desk, but after you have acclimated, it is next level. I guess the next step is Cintiq, but right now it just doesn’t fit in my workflow.

This is a gift for my daughter bound for SCAD’s animation program. A big step up from her trusty graphics pad she currently uses. The bells and whistles are a great option and well worth the added cost. Should see her thru college and beyond.

I don’t know how I edited photos without this thing. Takes a small learning curve but once you get the hang out it, it cuts down time and effort in photoshop. Also, the small size is perfect for a 27 in. screen in case anyone was worried about that!

I decided that I needed to start using a tablet for my photo editing after I started having a lot of pain and fatigue in my mouse arm this past season. I don’t know why I waited so long to get a tablet. It has not only taken away the pain I was experiencing from repetative mouse clicks, but it has made my workflow more seemless an efficient. The medium size is perfect and gives me a large range of motion. I wish I switched over to a tablet years ago. It took me a couple days to get use to the motion, but is now completely intuitive. You can customize the pen and the buttons to suit your needs.

I have the blessing of being left-hand, and also the curse, and the Intuos Pro makes retouching my images so easy and the only time being physically left-handed is an advantage. Finally!!! I use it on the left and am free to leave my mouse where it usually sits. This tablet is a must for me in Photoshop. I don’t use it in Lightroom, so having both options is super. The tablet itself has been reliable and like everyone says, if you use it for a few days, the awkwardness definitely passes and workflow moves quicker. I had he small for my 5 year old iMac, but upgraded to the huge screen iMac this year. Moving to the medium was perfect. I highly recommend the product as helpful and well made and these new pens feel really good in your hand. I had the smaller pen with my old tablet. Love this one!
