The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I use it for video editing. It’s very sensitive and shaky hands don’t help. This is a big tablet, and I think the medium is probably adequate if not better. I have reduced the size of the operating region to about 1/3 the size of the tablet. The controls require a good deal of fussing to figure them out. I don’t thing there is any way it will replace the mouse altogether, although I was hopeful that it would. I definitely have more accurate control with the mouse, but that may change as I get used to the tablet. We’ll see. This tablet might be better for someone who uses it for photography and not videography.

A great high-quality product once you get it installed. It did not auto-install the driver in Win 7 when the USB connector was plugged in as described in the quick menu. I had to manually install the driver using the provided disk. After that minor annoyance, I found it to be a super tool, very programmable/customizable for command menus which greatly reduces the need for keyboard inputs. It is also easily convertible to left-hand use. I’ve used an older Intuos2 in the past, so transitioning to the tablet was not a big issue. I really like the smaller size – it’s very convenient to use in your lap (especially with it’s wireless feature), fits well on the desktop next to keyboard, and requires less hand movement. The wireless feature has worked very well for me and has not presented any problems. It is perfect for Photoshop, Lightroom, CAD work, general-purpose use & web navigation. I rarely use the mouse, although I do sometimes miss the scroll wheel. To say the least, I’m extremely happy with the purchase of this tablet.

My take is that tablets are a required accessory for any serious Photoshop editing. I’m a long time Wacom user. My previous tablet was an Intuos Pro 4 circa 2010. For a bunch of years, I’ve been living with the periodic freezing problem these things have had. It doesn’t take long on Google to find that a LOT of people have experienced this. Some has been traced to Windows Ink, but I’m on a Mac. Its persisted across years of updates of Wacom drivers, Photoshop versions, and Mac OS updates. In desperation, I finally decided to buy this tablet and I can report that after several weeks of heavy use it hasn’t frozen once! Otherwise, it works exactly like my old Intuos Pro 4. I first tried the Small version, which worked fine for my iMac 27 screen size, but didn’t like the way my hand rested on it. I exchanged it for the medium version which is ergonomically better for me. I do use a couple of the buttons and the scroll wheel, which are appreciated. I don’t use the multi-touch feature. I don’t rely on Bluetooth connectivity for fear of lagging, and I appreciate the improved design of the USB cord. Hope that helps somebody.

The Wacom Intuos Pro takes creative artistic photography editing to a whole new level. Cutting my edit time in half with simple, easy to program presets for all the frequently used tools in Photoshop plus the accuracty of the multi function stylus makes editing a cinch! Compact, lightweight and straight to the point.. Wacom has a winner here! Robin Berry

I’ve been using Wacom Tablets for 17 years and this is my third one. On the plus side, it is very compact for a medium tablet, has nice customize buttons and weighted pen holder, is very responsive. On the negative side, the USB cord is too short and should be a good 9-12″ longer in order to reach the computer tower without being pulled so tightly. The feel of the pen on the tablet is also not as smooth as my previous tablets were. I experienced a lot of weird bugs to the software. It wouldn’t load and install properly and anytime the computer would go to sleep, the drivers would disappear and I’d have to reinstall them and reconfigure my tablet again. The directions from Wacom that come with the tablet seem to be wrong. It appears to be important to download the updated driver FIRST and then plug in your tablet. That seemed to do the trick for me. The instructions with the tablet tell you to just plug in the tablet and then download the updated driver. I ended up uninstalling everything, then reinstalling fresh with the newest updated driver, then plugging in the tablet. So far so good!

They sell the same product Wacom does on their site for way less! This Wacom is great. Large is too big, small is too small, but the medium size is perfect. Having touch capabilities drawing in photoshop and being able to spin the canvas with your fingers while you’re drawing is great.

I use this tablet primarily in Photoshop, as a tool to input drawings on paper, and to edit and correct photos. I’ve used Intuos tablets for the past dozen years, and this is a significant upgrade from previous models. I like the touch feature, though it’s takes about a week to re-orient to touch and let go of the mouse. One of the reasons I felt it necessary to upgrade is that I developed tendonitis from using the touch pad on my computer, and using the pen on the tablet eliminates this problem.

While I bought this primarily to work with Photoshop, especially for things like detailed selections, after just a few days I am using it as a total mouse replacement. It probably cuts mousing time in half. The workmanship of the tablet is excellent. Setup is easy. Everything about it is top quality and it works like a charm. It has so many great feature like the popup menus that are all programmable for each software program you use that I can’t write about them but recommend you go to the Wacom site and look at the basic tutorials. I only wish I had bought one long ago.

I love this tablet. I expected to have a learning curve on hand-eye coordination but took to it like a duck to water. It is so much easier to use than the mouse. I am still learning how to set the keys up but the tutorials on line are wonderful.

I had an older model Wacom pen and pad so this new updated one with touch pad is really fun. I’m having some difficulties in the click and drag (with my fingers) so that’s why I’m not giving it a 5 star rating. I’m still in the learning curve using the touch pad but I actually use it much more than the pen and really like that my user experience is much more integrated with my hand instead of holding a pen. Less fatigue.
