The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

These pads are everything they’re cracked up to be. And for whatever reason the Special Edition is cheaper (maybe people don’t like the silver?), you should go for this version because it also comes with wireless capability in the box. The other versions require additional purchases. It’s fast. Super accurate. I do only with you could control the height at which the pen can travel without impacting the cursor as it would impact the amount of bend you have to put in your wrist. Can make a difference after a long day.

I have just started to use it – looks like a steep learning curve but will be invaluable once I am comfortable with the tool. I use it for photography – Lightroom and Photoshop. Looking forward to becoming adept with it. On the support side, I called when I couldn’t get anything on the registration page but a logo, a couple of colored bands and a copyright notice. This was happening on 2 browsers (Safari an Firefox( but, most importantly, on their own application – Wacom Desktop Center. I tried desperately to explain to the support person that all of my software was up to date and that the fact that it was happening with their own application eliminated the browsers as an issue. He still went into his script about flushing my browser caches and even a long discussion about what driver level I was running (for the Wacom tablet) was not relevant . He just didn’t have a clue. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after going through the same information with her and a rather long discussion about why the browsers weren’t relevant, she finally told me that some other people had had the same problem and they found that if you did a Google search for their registration page, the link there got you to the right place. It did. I then explained that it sounded like one of their servers had a bad link/was redirecting (which it was – you could see it happening in the browser address bar) and why it had taken 45 minutes of my time to get an workaround for a known problem. No response. The fact that the first line support person was so useless doesn’t bode well for when I need real support for the product. It doesn’t bode well. It’s a shame when a company with a good product provides such incompetant (outsourced) support.

My granddaughter would draw 24 hours a day if she didn’the have to sleep. I was a little worried she might be to young for this. I should have known better. She had it going in less than a day. She was so excited finding new things to do with it every day. After a week her art is amazing. It was worth every cent I paid for it just to see the joy in her eyes. If I were to choose, I would choose this one again. And I would choose bhpphoto because I got a great deal.

This is my first tablet. I used a mouse for photo editing for the past twenty years and wanted something that was less tedious. It took some effort to make the adjustment from mouse to tablet, but once done it is a much more comfortable way to do photo editing. I am very impresed with the smoothness of control when using a pen and the pressure and tilt features are beyond wonderful.

The Intous Pro tablet (medium) is a must have for digital artists. I have been using this tablet for about a month and I am enjoying every minute of it. It is very easy to install and user friendly. I can customize each buttons and the sensitivity of the pen to my liking. This tablet runs smooth, including the touch pad and it is consistent. I use the wireless about 9 out of 10 times and I haven’t had any issues with the connection.

The tablet arrived on time, packed well, and worked as expected. No surprises. I purchased it to work with the new Photoshop CC and it works well. It will take some getting used to but that was expected.I will need some practice. Don’t assume this is just an easy mouse replacement, it is not but I expect the longterm results to be better re-touching and more accurate control over photos.

Purchased this tablet for smoother photo retouching and drawing, including drawing smooth and natural lines/shapes that I convert into vector paths. Pros: SO much easier to use for drawing/retouching than a mouse Cons: Working with Wacom customer service on a pretty significant bug that is slowing me down considerably. I anticipate we’ll get it resolved- that’s my hope! If the bug gets fixed, this tablet will get 5 stars from me, if not, I’ll have to return it, which I do NOT want to have to do. Fingers crossed! B&H shipped promptly for a great price. I will definitely buy from them again!

This is my first tablet and have had similar problems as others have posted. I contacted Wacom on two different dates to discuss the driver issue. After making adjustments and insuring the driver was installed correctly there are still problems. Loading of the driver is inconsistent. If lucky all is well. If the driver does not load then here is my “work around” 1) Click on windows icon in lower work bar 2) Type Services into search bar 3) Scroll down Services and click on Wacom 4) Click STOP the service 5) WAIT several minutes and then 6) Click on RESTART the service 7) WAIT several minutes and the driver should load…

I love this, so much more responsive than my earlier one. I am not using all it’s features, that will take an old dog a bit of time, but I love the fact I can turn on the touch pad nature of it. I have my keyboard behind it, so normally rest my arms on this while typing and my wrists can trigger the touch pad if I leave it on. But it’s a very handy feature, easily turned on and off by a button on the side.

I have used it for few weeks so far. Was not able to register the product. Will try to reach customer service. It takes time to get used to. I had to remap to use a smaller area. Photoshop CC stopped working with the device after upgrading to the latest version. Overall I like the functionality and time saved. Adjustment brush in lightroom has become the tool that i actually use often now. It takes time to get used to the tablet though.

I was recommended this product by a professional retoucher, and I love it! Spent the extra money on this one… I love use it for dodging and burning (I know that’s pretty simple) I work with a lot of portraits and landscapes, and it come in handy for everything you can think of that you get mad at having a mouse for 🙂

I bought this primarily for photo editing in photoshop. The pen tracks nicely and accurately. The pressure levels are fantastic when merging photos and using masks.

I’m using this for photoshop and my estimating program. It works great, easy to customize, & is way better than using a mouse.

Works right out of the box via USB cable. Easy to set-up and program the pen switch and function keys. Nice to program and see the Radial Express Functions on screen that work with touch. Nice to be to use it as a full screen touch pad. Takes practice to get use to using the pen. The pen switch is nice to program Pick or Reject when culling photos in Adobe Lightroom. I still have a lot to learn and try out before I can give it a 5 star rating. I gave it 4 stars because there is no paper set-up or user manual. You need to get that from the included CD or off of their website. It look like they have a very good website with lot’s of tutorials on how to use the tablet.

I’ve graduated from my tiny Graphire to a brand-new Wacom Intuos 5 medium tablet (it’s about time!) and have one thing to say LOVE IT! Highly recommend the medium as it’s the perfect size. If you need something larger, get a Cintiq, otherwise this is PERFECT.
