The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I don’t find it that much more difficult. It is a little different, but the best way to start is to place the tablet right in front on the monitor or laptop aligned with the screen. Your motions on the tablet will mirror the cursor movements on the screen.

while the product works good, I think the learning curve is big, I am finding myself editing the old way

I was new to using a graphics tablet for photo editing so I there was a bit of a learning curve associated with it. Once I tweeked the settings to my liking, it made things flow much better and sped up my post processing.

Great Size. I thought about getting the previous generation’s extra large size since the newest version only goes to large. Nevertheless, I’m happy with it and will eventually buy another for the home office.

I was using a mouse to support photo post-processing using Light Room and Photoshop. What a huge difference the Intuos Pro makes in speeding up that workflow, including better touch accuracy. One touch pen selections using the tablet and the Photoshop Clone tool to build image montages are a snap!

Bought this for my son during a holiday sale, which has proven helpful for his Digital Arts Magnet class. He uses it for his Photoshop & Illustrator projects which has gives him an advantage to improve the details in his drawings. The dimensions of this unit are the same as our Toshiba notebook, which makes in convenient to stick into the same carrying case. The silver and black design looks nice on our desk! 🙂

It’s nice that it isn’t hard to set up, and it’s very easy to get used to. The pen is comfortable to hold, and it doesn’t make a lot of noise when used on the tablet.

In a similar manner that photoshop bring photos to life, the Wacom Intuos Pro brings photoshop to life. The learning curve isn’t bad at all. Granted it’s a little awkward to use straight out of the box when coming from a track pad. But within a couple of days it becomes very familiar to use, and at the 2 week point it’s second nature. Honestly, even though I liked it, photoshop was a chore. But now it’s fun. The small is a perfect size. More than enough screen room to do detailed work. My only recommendation would be to get the ergo grip (orange one). When using the pen for long periods of time your hand feels the strain of gripping the pen. The ergo grip alleviates any and all pain.

I’m a graphic designer & illustrator. This is my third Wacom Intuos product. I’m a fan of the tablet technology and I love the touch capabilities of this version. The Medium size is perfect as well (my previous two were small and large) This is just right! Now, the wireless feature is pretty disappointing all in all. First, there is still going to be a wireless USB plugged into your computer to use the wireless feature. I work on a laptop with only two internal USB ports. I was hoping for blue tooth compatibility with my computer (like my wireless keyboard). Then the battery charge for the wireless feature is only up to 6 hours. So I just keep it plugged in like the old version because I use the tablet all day – I work longer then eight hours! So, I don’t even have time or space for the wireless feature of this tablet. Too bad… one day I hope it will be truly wireless/bluetooth with NO USB plug!

Almost every user of a Wacom tablet agrees that there is a learning curve. Trying to use the tablet for anything but Photoshop has proved useless to me. However, it has shown its potential for vastly improving my work with Photoshop – once I get past the learning curve.

I use both Mac and PC. User experience on Mac is better as it’s seamless. When it works on Windows, it’s just as good as it’s on Mac. On Windows 10, it still has the unresponsive after computer wake-up issue and conflict with Windows Ink settings by default for adobe CC apps. Windows Ink settings issue can be resolved by changing Windows’ Ink and Tablet settings (not Wacom pen settings or pressure sensitive stops working). Wake-up issue has been there for years and no permanent fix exists. If you are affected by this, disable USB port power management may or may not work. Restarting Windows Service Wacom Professional Service is required every time PC wakes up from sleep. It’s a bit ridiculous for a well-known issue to be there for so long on a de facto industry standard tablet. The tablet is shipped with nearly depleted battery charge instead of common practice of more than half charge for devices using lithium batteries. First one received is DOA, not sure if it’s connector/cable issue or battery but I suspect it’s caused by a completed discharged battery. Over discharged lithium battery often cannot be recharged, even Wacom web site says so. B&H quickly exchanged a new one and it has only 2% battery charge left. When it works, you forgot all the issues and enjoy it until next time your PC wakes up

I use this for my logo design work. it is light weight and responsive. it is wireless so it allows me to hook up my laptop to my big screen TV and do my work comfortably on a much larger screen. it has a very long battery life which I really like.

I recently upgraded from a very old and distressed Wacom Bamboo tablet to the medium-sized Intuos Pro and couldn’t be happier. As someone whose two laptops, an external monitor, two mice, and additional keyboard, the medium tablet, while quite a bit larger than the Bamboo, fits nicely. The tablet functions flawlessly, and the programmable sidebar is a great touch. The tablet makes editing photos and freehand drawing on my Macbook a breeze.

This is my first tablet – I do minimal photo retouching & processing but decided this would help with some precision tasks. Outstanding value – way more to this than I thought! Pros: Excellent price; solid quality and packaging; the whole B&H experience was outstanding as usual. This size (small) is very good for me. Sensitivity and performance are outstanding. Cons: Not really a con – just know that if this is your first tablet you’ve got a learning curve. This may be the smaller less expensive option but it is very, very customizable and capable of incredible functions. I have been getting familiar by just doing a coloring page – very helpful for general feel and use. Wacom website is a goldmine of helpful video. I would definitely recommend this for beginners and those without heavy processing/retouching needs. Would be an incredible gift for artistic students or anyone who enjoys graphics, etc.
