The Intuos Pro Paper Edition Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has eight customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
This Paper edition includes a Paper Clip, a Finetip Pen, and ten sheets of A5 paper, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. The Intuos Pro is compatible with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, and in “Paper Mode”, you can use either the Finetip Pen, a ballpoint pen, or even a pencil. To share your sketches right away, connect to your iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

I ordered the small version, then reconsidered, canceled, and ordered the medium version instead, and I am glad I did. I use it for photo editing, but also for navigating the web-no more mouse-and I keep re-customizing my setup as I have more experience with it. I use Catalina on an iMac and the pen can seem excitable sometimes, and slow at others, but that may just be my unfamiliarity. The pressure brush is a wonderful tool in Lightroom and Photoshop. The pen actually cramped my hand till a YouTube video showed me I was holding it all wrong (like a regular pen)-now it’s very comfortable. Glad I bought it.

I finally gave up on installing patched MacOS drivers for my old Wacom Intuos 3 tablet (that I bought refurbished from B&H in 2007!), and decided to upgrade. Technology has come a long way since 2007. The tablet is wonderfully slim, and the programmable tool buttons are well placed. Bluetooth connectivity has been flawless on my MacBook Pro. I’m using it mostly with Affinity software (Designer / Photo), as well as Capture One 21, and it makes using these programs a joy. (I’m creating scientific illustrations, and use it for photo editing.) The drawing area on the medium tablet seems perfectly adequate for me, allowing for very precise pen strokes. It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for: an excellent tool.

I’d used a Wacom Cintiq in the past and loved it, so switching to an Intuos and not editing directly on the screen had me a little nervous. Took me less than a day to adjust to it and it’s made my workflow so much easier. Drivers were a breeze to install, and setup was streamlined and intuitive. Would highly recommend!

Not like an older Intuos tablet I used for many years. Cheaper made and does not hold a charge long. Better than nothing so it gets 2 stars. I would not purchase this model again.

The Wacom Pro adds so much to editing in photoshop. Once you spend a few weeks getting use to it, you will never go back to a mouse or track pad. The pen pressure makes so much difference. You really can’t do the same work without the tablet. I think the medium size is great. I also like a clean desk, so the wireless bluetooth connection is great. The tablet stays charged for days without being plugged in to USB. The pen never needs charging which is also a big plus. The tablet is very customizable with shortcut keys to help with your workflow.

This is a fabulous tablet. I needed a smaller size due to space restrictions and it does what I want it to do. The only downside is there is a steep learning curve to use this tablet. Ive been working with it for several days and I can get around fairly well but it is going to take a while to really master this device. It seems everything is customizable, including the pen itself. Im sure down the road I will get a medium size tablet because selections are so much easier with this device. I recently severely broke my hand in an off set head-on car wreck and with my hand in a restrictive splint doing selections was about impossible with a mouse. This pad has been a blessing to use. I will warn you about one thing though, once you use this tablet, you’ll never go back to drawing or selecting with a mouse again.

For years and years I have been scratching away with a mouse. Granted I got pretty good at it. However every once in a while after a LONG day of editing, I would start to feel strain in my wrist. I would hum and haw over getting a tablet… and this year I finally took the plunge. The learning curve is definitely a learning curve… the sensitivity of the pen compared to the clumsy use of the mouse takes quite a bit of getting used to… but when you start to get it, it is by far superior. I’m 100% glad that I made this purchase. When considering this purchase, I also hummed and hawed over whether to purchase the small or the medium. I ended up opting for the medium… however in retrospect I think I would have been fine with the small since I have reduced the size of the tablet in the settings, as I really don’t need to be moving my arm all over the place like a crazy maniac. But I really think that this would be a personal preference.

The sensitivity can not be matched by any Pen and Touch tablet in this range

The tablet seems just fine. Unfortunately I wasted over 30 minutes trying to get the correct driver for the old iMac, (limited to an older OS), that I wanted to use it with. Only after trying everything logical via the site, I sent a request for a Tech call. The good news was that the callback was surprisingly fast, and the representative quickly was able to show me where to find the correct driver (hidden within a menu option). If only the web designer had clearly marked where to find old drivers, I wouldn’t have wasted time and started my tablet use without such a bad taste in my mouth.

I just upgraded from the Intuos 3 that I have had for 6 plus years. This is a nice upgrade and offers some great new functionality. A tablet is the best way to edit photos in Photoshop and other editing tools.

Have previously used the Bamboo tablet – medium. this is a nice improvement/upgrade. The wireless is very convenient. I find the quality and sensitivity of the touchpad an improvement. Also, for photographers, I think the small size is sufficient.

Got this tablet to replace the Bamboo model I used for years. This is a more serious tablet, with tools that help you use the keyboard less as you work. I love the pen pressure, it works quite well and all the customizable settings. Only thing that is not improved from my last tablet is the tracking. It is not as smooth as I would have hoped for the jump in price and quality of everything else.

Upgrading from an old version. I love the size of the medium, the sensitivity of the pen and gestures. Amazing product and a can’t live without now.

I purchased my Wacom tablet in August 2015 to use for photography post processing. After all the positive reviews I read, I was convinced that this product would make me more efficient. However, I have spent many hours reading the online manual, contacting customer technical help and researching issues on both user forums and Utube trying to make this thing work. When I use the pen to move sliders in Lightroom and other softwares, it fails to hold the position I select, I continually get messages that the driver is not found and it just stops working. I have talked to four or five different customer support personnel and get different advice from each including reinstalling the software (which I have done many times), I sent the pen back for a replacement and was advised to take my computer to a technician because I must have a virus. Problem is, its not my computer. After researching these issues online I found that the issues I have are the same issues others are having and users are doing work arounds to try and solve the issues (check out Utube or put Wacom Driver Problems in a Google search). The problem is that there must be issues with the driver software and possible conflicts with other software that Wacom is not addressing.

I got this tablet to edit my photos. It has revolutionized my workflow. It’s such a breeze to edit layer masks and apply dodge & burn with a pressure sensitive pen in Lightroom & Photoshop. I’ve setup so that buttons on my tablet to create a new layer with & without the layers beneath merged, and it’s a big time saver too. Overall, I’m very pleased with this investment. The only annoying thing is that the tablet driver gets into a weird state every now and then, and I have to unplug the tablet, kill WacomTabletDriver and com.wacom.IOManager in Activity Monitor, then plug the tablet back in to get back to a good state.

Works great for little touch ups which is exactly why I got it!!
