Very easy to use and makes it much easier to edit. I use it extensively in my ultra macro work. I am still fine tuning the various parameters as I get better in my macro. I

There is no substitute. With each new version Wacom improves upon their already brilliant piece of technology. There is absolutely no way you can edit photography without one. There are zealots who claim otherwise, but that’s only because they haven’t used one yet. The infinite amount of detail with which you can control your editing in no way can a mouse compare. With this version, they even include a wifi kit which is absolutely perfect in every way! The customization allowed on this tablet is superior and makes your workflow so much more efficient, if you’re not using one, you might as well be using an Etch-a-Sketch. Check out some of my tutorial videos on YouTube for a live example of how I use mine.

I got this tablet to replace my Intuos 4 after I gave that one to my daughter. I expected it to be essentially the same, except wireless. I’d say it is much more refined than I expected, the pen operates smoothly and installation was a snap. As usual, I called B &H on telephone before I ordered and they were extremely helpful in assisting me to make the correct choice.

I have been using Wacom tablets professionally for 5 years. I previously owned the Intuos 4 and it was great. I upgrade because my 4 stopped working. I do a lot of intensive retouching work. This tablet is fine. I don’t notice any upgrades over the model that I had, other than bluetooth, which I rarely use with this tablet. I have noticed some problems with it though. 1) The pen holder is weirdly difficult to open, which makes accessing the extra nibs difficult. Don’t know why they changed the design. The taller pen holder worked great, and the bottom unscrewed nicely. I do appreciate the little hole that give you to pull the nib out of the pen, and it works nicely. 2) The new nibs wear out so much faster than the ones I used to use. I don’t know why. I like the white nibs because they have a little more texture to them and you can do detailed edits easier. However, I went through one in 2 days when before I could use them for months on end. 3) I have discovered that when using the Spot Healing Brush Tool in Photoshop, with touch sensitive setting in use, it is super inconsistent. I like to make the cursor circle large and lightly press so just a small section inside of the circle is effective (shown as a dark spot). But sometimes just as I lift off the pen to complete the action, the entire circle fills with the dark, indicating that it has effected the image within the entire circle. I then have to re-do that edit. I thought this was something to do with the nibs waring out so quickly, but it does it with new nibs too. I did troubleshooting with Adobe for an hour or so, allowing them to take control of my computer and the problem wasn’t in Photoshop. It’s something weird with the sensitivity of the tablet. All in all it is a good tablet and I will continue using it for my business, but it doesn’t work as good as my Intuos 4 did and the nibs are garbage. I guess the old adage is correct – they don’t make them like they used to.

I have found that it just doesn’t fit my needs. The learning curve is steep, difficult to use. I think a mouse is just as good.

I owned a Wacom tablet many years ago and liked it. It had it’s advantages over a mouse for sure, but it was still necessary to go between the tablet and the keyboard and the mouse to accomplish most tasks. Therefore, I never really used it in my workflow. The Intuos5 is AMAZING!!! The pen is better than ever. But the Express Keys and the Radial menu make it so that you almost never have to leave the tablet. I have customized the tablet so that the Express Keys are set up for the functions I most use in each application, and it has saved me tons of time in my retouching. Combine the Intuos5 with the power of Photoshop CC and you have a truly remarkable tool box!

Very happy with this product and every other product I have bought through B&H I have always been very very pleased.

I use it for video editing. It’s very sensitive and shaky hands don’t help. This is a big tablet, and I think the medium is probably adequate if not better. I have reduced the size of the operating region to about 1/3 the size of the tablet. The controls require a good deal of fussing to figure them out. I don’t thing there is any way it will replace the mouse altogether, although I was hopeful that it would. I definitely have more accurate control with the mouse, but that may change as I get used to the tablet. We’ll see. This tablet might be better for someone who uses it for photography and not videography.

I need this tablet so I can start my career as a graphic designer and digital painter. No problems so far. You do need to buy a case though which Wacom sold out of, I contacted Wacom and they said they were getting more soon.

I use a Large Wacom Intuos Pro Creative Pen Tablet for digitizing illustrations and Photo editing, and find it to be an indispensable tool. It’s smooth, accurate, and reasonably comfortable to use. Recent world events have forced me (like many) to work from home and use video teleconferencing as a primary means of corporate communication. While annotating a virtual white board I quickly realized how useful it was to be able to draw with the stylus, as opposed to using the mouse and keyboard. The drawback with the Large version of the tablet is that it takes up a lot of real estate on the desk. I recently purchased the Wacom Intuos Pro Creative Pen Tablet (Small) and now use it all of the time. It takes a little practice to write legibly, but once you get the hang of it people who think that you are using a mouse will be astounded! The small size also allows you to slip it into a laptop bag and carry it with you to presentations. Although it wont replace its Big Brother, there are times that I do prefer it to the Large Tablet. Especially while performing touch-ups in photo editing software.

It does what it is meant to do. 3 stars because they are not as durable as I would like. This has to be my 30th tablet or so. It is the only option so yeah.

Seriously worth the money! Easy to setup, easy to use after you get use to it! It took me a day or two. I love the shortcut buttons on the tablet! It will accelerate your workflow!

Just plugged the tablet in. Wacom software automatically imported my settings from my old tablet. I’m loving the use of gestures.

I’ve had a wacom tablet on my desk for a decade plus and although it’s a fantastic piece of HARDWARE the software, specifically the drivers have killed any advantage gained by using it. Why? Because they constantly crash rendering the tablet useless. In the past year I have’nt had one day without seeing The tablet driver is not working or The tablet driver did not install correctly and having to restart the service or my whole system. Now, I can’t even get the drivers to load. I’ve done everything Wacom suggests (uninstall/reinstall) with absolutly no results. You would think that after 10+ years they would have hired competent coders to get the software right?! The good (when it works): Easy to use. Express keys are fantastic (as they always were). Touch sensitivty is helpful in PS and AI. The wireless would be a great feature if it actually worked (driver related). Don’t believe me? Just search web and you’ll see a list of driver problems.

I debated a long time whether or not I should purchase a pen/tablet for use with editing my photos. I finally gave in and decided to give it a shot. WOW! Doing photo touch up work is so much easier with this tablet than with a mouse or a trackpad. I’ll never give it up my tablet! Installation and setup was a snap on my Mac. You can easily customize the tablet controls globally and/or by specific programs. It is taking awhile to figure out exactly how I want to customize is for each program but the process itself is very straightforward. I didn’t find the learning curve for basic photo editing to be very steep. I was removing unwanted antennae, wires, etc. from my photos in no time. However, it is taking me longer to get use to using the pen/tablet as a general computer input device (e.g., navigating menus). I’m getting better at it and the touch portion of the tablet is helping since it’s similar to my trackpad although it’s a little awkward trying to use the touch gestures while holding the pen in the same hand (I know, I could place the pen in its handy holder).

According to the Wacom website this tablet should come with extra pen nibs, and I thought at first they had not been included. But, behold, if you look at the bottom of your pen holder stand it unscrews to reveal the extra nibs. This is my second tablet and I look forward to working with this one for a very long time.
