The Intuos Pro Creative Pen Tablet from Wacom is a flexible graphical tablet that can be used to digitize your work, and by flexible, we don’t mean bendable. By itself, the Intuos Pro is a standard drawing tablet that connects to your system via USB or Bluetooth. It has customizable ExpressKeys and a Touch Ring to assist you with your workflow, and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity. When combined with the separately sold Paper Clip, Finetip Pen, and paper, the Intuos Pro becomes the Intuos Pro Paper Edition, allowing you to sketch on paper and store your work without having to be online or connected to a computer. To share your sketches right away, you can connect to iOS or Android devices using Bluetooth. Edit videos and create motion graphics with two months of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects included when you purchase and register your tablet. Regional restrictions may apply.

I have been using Wacom tablets for years. I purchased the Intuos Pro in January. I use it primarily for photo editing work. Shortly after the purchase I started setting up some of the more advanced features in the control panel software, like display mappings for each application, Express Keys, Touch Ring, Radial Menu, etc. It did not take long for me to discover issues with their software. Mapping settings were not persistent, and had to be re-mapped every time I rebooted. The Radial Menu only worked on Display 1, not 2. I contacted support and they acknowledge these as issues and stated that future releases would rectify the problems. That was true, but I had to wait about 3 more months to see those fixes. Just this month my wireless adapter died. I diid an RMA. The new unit seems to work, but it was a bear to setup. I ran into all types of issues getting the device to work. Finally got it working, but still today, when I am connect wirelessly, the Wacom preferences show No Tablet Found but the device works. And I can see the tablet in the control panel software (which is good). The worst part of the whole scenario, is the disappearance of support. After the RMA they have not responded to a single request for additional help. That is quite surprising for a device they call Pro. Mac OS X 10.9.4 Wacom 6.3.8-2

the intuos is an incredible thing, the pressure sensitive pad, the touch wheel, multiple buttons for customizable actions make working in photoshop a breeze. I don’t know why I’ve waited this long to own one but this digital pen tablet for me replaces paper and represents the way forward 🙂

I am taking an online photography class and this is proving very useful. It allows so much creative freedom and precise control as opposed to trying to use a mouse in Adobe software! It does take some getting used to, but a great buy. Well worth the price.

The Intros Pro Tablet works great. I’m currently using it with a 13-inch Macbook Pro Retina as my travel, on-location solution for touching up photos. This makes retouching a breeze! This is the first graphics tablet that I’ve owned (previously, I’ve used multiple Surface Pro units and Thinkpad convertible tablets, which used Wacom digitizers, I’ve also used non-Wacom digitizers on convertible tablets) and I’m currently a big fan of using this as a mobile solution alongside my Macbook Pro.

Took a little to get used to but after a while it became second nature is a lot of fun to use and makes my work a lot easier and goes by a lot faster

Use it for Lightroom and Photoshop photo editing. My second tablet. This small model is for easy addition to my MacBook bag. The use of a stylus and tablet are ergonomically consistent and more normal and precise than using a mouse or trackpad. The added benefit of application specific programing and function keys and radial menus add functionality and flexibility to the process by making shortcuts and keystrokes more readily available. Its Touch function adds a trackpad functionality as well making it a complete integrated input device for more than just photo editing and graphic art application. Like the fact that the new Pro series comes with wireless functionality standard instead of optional as it did with my first Intuos. Can’t think of a thing that I would fault either of my Wacom for.

For some reason I was expecting the tablet to be much smaller than what it is, so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it. Another size surprise was that it came with a fancy stylus and an assortment of nibs to switch out for a variety of pen styles. Still getting the hang of using it for Photoshop edits, but so far it’s pretty fab!

I have used a pen tablet several times during my computer life, so I am used to the way it works. But don’t think it will be a slam dunk for you. It takes a long time to get 100% up to speed. the other side is that the Wacom tablet works better than any other. It improves your artistic abilities and even more so, it is great ergonomically. A mouse kills my arm and shoulder, and the pen does not. I highly recommend the Wacom tablet, but don’t think you can use it for a day and be an expert. It takes weeks or more and you will have many moments of frustration. It is worth the effort

I previously had a Graphire Wacom tablet that worked fine but this Intuos Pro is a whole new ball game. The ability to program buttons, pen and wheel and individualize for different programs is amazing.I use the tablet for photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. In addition to having pressure sensitivity, I’ve programmed a lot of other specific tasks in these programs and watching videos on Wacom’s site and on Youtube. My only complaint is that, there’s so much I can do with the customization, I’m a little overwhelmed but as I use it more, I’m figuring it out.

Keyboard and mouse are good for photoshop work but with a tablet, ppl can do more. I would say if someone wants to do more serious photoshop work, a tablet is a must. I am not saying that mouse can’t do the work tablet can, but steady mouse strike is not as accurate as pen strike, to be honest. My suggestion would be below 16′ monitor, use small, above 27′ monitor, use large, in the middle, use medium, generally speaking from my understanding.

I have been doing my work in Photoshop with a mouse or a tracker pad. It worked but was less accurate and didn’t have the pressure sensitive feature of the Wacom tablet. The pressure sensitivity is worth buying the tablet alone. The tablet has so many ways it can be customized allowing you to work the way you work. I am glad I made the purchase. It does have a steep learning curve as you adjust to working with the pen and tablet. Also, I was considering the large tablet but bought the medium instead and am very glad I did. The large would require a lot of desktop real estate.

I replaced my tablet which was 5 years old. I was hoping that the new Intuous table would be compatible with copying material on email, but it is not. With inconvenience I have to fish out the mouse for online and even to push basic buttons for the Photoshop plugin AI-Sharpen, which does not respond to the Wacom pen. I use the pen as much as I possibly can, even for word-processing, but it is invaluable in Photoshop.

I’m using the tablet with Lightroom and preparing for my eventual purchase of Photoshop. Very nice tablet, my first, but it is frustrating in the beginning. However, I knew going in that there was going to be a learning curve and a period of adjustment. The programmable buttons are great – use them per application or task. I’m used to the Apple iMac Trackpad and the tablet does not support one-finger click and drag so that was a pain in the butt. The initial setup is clumsy. Wacom should streamline this. You have to download the latest driver and it entailed a bit of fumbling around. Also, there seems to be some confusion at Wacom support about feature differences between the Windows and Mac versions and they didn’t understand the driver designations (for example, 6.3.13w3 is the Windows version and 6.3.13f3 is the Mac version). This caused some headaches. 5 star product but the setup and support issues bump it down to 4 in my estimation. Plus, it would be great if they supported one-finger click and drag for the Mac in the future.

This small Intuos is the perfect size for my daughter-in-laws needs for photo editing. Size is convenient on the desk and offers her more than adequate room for non-drawing editing. Would never have known this was refurbished as it is in perfect condition. This mom-in-law scored some points with this little surprise gift !!!

As I could see in other reviews, I’m still adapting to it. But it already showed very useful for Lightroom use.

I thought it would slow me down. But it’s actually an incredible machine and can do so many things my mouse can’t.

This is a must have if you’re a serious retoucher. The pen and tablet works great especially with the ample customizable controls. Makes retouching much easier and faster. The size of the tablet is great for any small desk top and for traveling.

As usual B&H delivered on time. Have to admit received tablet and was not able to un-box for a couple days. Working to learn how to use it, everything that I have read takes some time to get used to it, but see the benefits already working in Photoshop, just a matter of time to be more proficient using the tablet.
