After my Ring Spotlight wireless cameras missed two car break-ins due to lost connectivity and dead batteries, I decided I would give the solar Wasserstein Solar Panel’s try since I wasn’t buying another Ring Product. The Solar panels do fit the Ring Stick up and Battery Powered Cameras as long as you pull the rubber stopper out on the back of the camera. The Ring Cameras all recognized that the cameras were being charged by the Wasserstein Solar Panels. I can now set my Ring to record all motion with Lights on and the battery doesn’t drop below 70%. Before I couldn’t get more a day with all the record settings on high. This gives new life to the cameras as Soloar Panels should be standard with all Battery spotlight cameras.The only complaint I have is the limited angles of the pivoting stand. I seem to have found the sweet spot and can capture light during the day, but the required angle doesn’t make the install look clean since the pivot arm is limited to certain angles. This might be a me issue, but the solar panel works great and I wish I would have bought it sooner. I plan to send these to my parents house.

It was very easy to install but when you plug in the solar panel the ring device asked you if you want to go to wired the answer is no you do not. I changed our mind to wired and then they did not work! Then I had to go back and change them all back to battery-operated

We put up the solar panels with our cameras about two weeks ago, and I can see in my ring app that they’re doing their job of keeping the camera batteries charged (and one in a place that doesn’t get that much sun each day). I would not put cameras up without the solar panels. I don’t know yet if they “last”, but glad to have them.
